Hi yall! My question might be silly but its been haunting me for a few days lol. Ive been told that after an ETT, Id have to sleep on a recliner/sofa. My intent is to sleep in the recliner for the first two weeks. Then transition to my own bed, still sitting up and my back supported with pillows, wedge pillows, etc. My main concern is that my bed is kinda high. Would I be causing too much pressure on the muscle repair? Or it shouldnt be a problem cus Id be two weeks post op?
After a tummy tuck would a wedge pillow set for upper and lower back work for my bed after surgery? I could use a recliner during the day and the wedges at night. If so which would you recommend? Im having a regular tummy tuck. Also would you recommend a walker and taking Arnica? Do they give you pain pills for pain? Would protein drinks be good after?
I'm getting a tummy tuck with muscle repair and was planning to get a recliner for the post op recovering the nurse who was in the giving me what to expect, with instructions told me no matter what don't get a recliner ,even the one that is capable of standing you up automatively. is this true or not true
I was given a compression binder for my tummy tuck, I wasn't given anything for my butt. I'm reading about how important these garments are and the doctor said I didn't need one. Additionally, he hardly put any fat in my butt as it looks exactly the same. My 1 day post op appointment, the nurse said it would expand. Which I read is a complete joke. I'm horrified. What can I do? And my doctor says I can just sit in a recliner as sitting after a bbl on something soft will not affect my results.
I read how you should purchase a recliner or rent a hospital bed for maybe the first two weeks. I would like to know is it ok to use a zero gravity chair that I found at Big lots on clearance since I cannot afford to purchase a recliner or rent a hospital bed.
