Hi, I partook in a mommy makeover two years ago. After healing and consultation from a surgeon my left abdominal wall of my muscle repair was unsuccessful my stomach looks lopsided. Is there a way for me to tighten? as one surgeon informed me that I do not have enough skin to endure another tummy tuck. I dont know if you can tell from photos but when I am bloated the top part of my belly inflates and its uncomfortable. Please help
Hi I had a full tummy tuck a couple of yrs ago and my stomach seems a little lopsided and hard on the right side of my belly button. When I initially inquired about my stomach not being flat, my surgeon said I had too much visceral fat and need to lose the weight. Ive tried but no changes since Ive healed. In fact, it still feels a little numb in some areas. I know suggestions will be to see my surgeon but I would like a general idea of what happened and of course a second opinion. Thank you
Same question - bulge above my belly button. My dr is not the most patient with me seems irritated every time I ask her questions about the shape. This past visit she said it seems obvious my fascia separates and it isnt as lopsided as I think it is. The only way to repair it is to reopen open me and go through it all again. I am so disappointed. Is this really the only fix? Can I work out with certain excercises? I am 5,6, and 127 lbs. I plan on losing more if thats whats needed.
Does it look normal or muscle repair lopsided? I have been wearing my garments 24x7, massaging, being careful but the more I heal the more I notice the swelling seems worse / more prominent on the full left side (top to bottom) as shown in the pic. I did have a cough that came on 4 days post op and lasted a week... my surgeon says its normal swelling but wanted to get additional thoughts / feedback. I will post before pics too Incase that helps.
I am 17 days post op from a Tummy Tuck. At 10 days post op I had my right side drain out. The left side drain came out after at 14 days. On Day 15 I noticed that the right side is visibly more swollen than the left side. I have rested this weekend & continued high volume of fluids but it is still more swollen and sore. I should also note that when the right drain came out is switched to a Spanx instead of the hospital compression garment so it is more easily noticed. Is this normal?
I had lipo done with tummy tuck. My muffin top area is much bigger on my right side. Has been from the beginning. And my belly isn't flat. I've lost a few pounds since surgery so know it can't be from weight gain. My question is, am I stuck lopsided? Could it be swelling? I just feel 11 weeks post op I shouldn't be lopsided and my belly should be flatter. The unevenness is very noticeable thru clothes. And was hoping to not still have excess skin or rolls
ok so I'm freaking out, I'm 1 week out of surgery and everyday I look at my stomach it looks to me like it's changing. I loved the results at first but now it's depressing me...I actually cried because I feel like I'm going to have to do this again and I'm terrified of anesthesia and I really don't want another surgery any tips or advice? Im ok with my scar I'm just confused about the sides as they are not even one side looks fatter than the other
