3&1/2 Wks After Tummy Tuck. I had a area under my stitches that was red and puffy about a week ago took antibiotics and was the same. No infection there was a pocket of blood or seroma under the stitches. This was drained today. Is it good to use ice or heat on that area? It is alittle sore.
My pubic mound area gets really swollen and is painful when sitting due to the binder pushing on it. It was not originally swollen when i had the drains in. The swelling goes down some what at night but gets pretty swollen during the day. I am worried this up and down swelling is going to stretch it out. Will icing it help or should i not? Should i get some sort of compression garment instead of the binder? I am 4 wks post op. Thank you!
I had a tummy tuck with lipo to the flanks and upper back 4 days ago. Sometimes my compression garment won't completely cover the entire upper back which causes swelling pockets near the bra. These get very painful and even burn sometimes. Is it better to use ice packs or a heating pad to help this swelling go down?
Recently had a tummy tuck 2/26 to be precise. I had my drains removed today. I noticed and was also told by my surgeon that my belly was swollen. This question didn't pop into my head until now and obviously I'm not in the office to ask and was just wondering if ice would help any with the swelling? Or is it just best to wait it out for the swelling to go down on its own?
I've been using ice packs on my pons area because it feels better. I just had my drains removed today and there is still some slight bleeding, which I'm covering with gauze. Is it still ok to use the ice packs for relief and to keep the swelling down or will it in some way hinder the incision cite healing process? Picture is from today after drains were removed, 7 dpo
I had a full tummy tuck with lipo 1 wk ago & I have a lot of painful swelling. I'm wearing my compression garment 24/7 like I'm supposed to. I still have the drains in. I'm wondering if using ice will help with swelling. I haven't read anything here about using ice, but other sites say not to. Why
