I have degenerative disc disease and I get injections in my spine. Im looking to strengthen my core so I can avoid have neck surgery. Ive had 2 kids. Also I will be looking into getting a breast reduction. I cannot build muscle in my stomach for nothing. My youngest is 18 and Ive have tried for years to build it. I have years of proof on my health history and also my spine dr. And primary both agree that this would benefit me and would send in referral's. Im 160lbs and 52
I had an extended tummy tuck in July of 2021 to mainly remove excess skin. I didnt have abdominal separation or anything wrong with my muscles before my procedure. I chose a reputable doctor in Scottsdale, AZ and paid almost 18,000 cash for this procedure. It has been over a year and I am now in physical therapy due to abdominal weakness and degenerative disc disease which I did not have before this procedure. What could have happened to my muscles during the procedure? I am desperate for help!
I've had 3 spine surgeries- cervical discectomy, lumbar area facet debridement, & cervical disc replacement. Multiple level injuries, degenerative disc disease, stenosis, curvature, & arthritis = no spine reconstruction possible. Have lost 80 pounds in 2 years. Pain/itching from excess skin is horrible! Considering my 35% L1 compression fracture, newest orthopedic surgeon thinks tummy tuck would benefit my entire skeletal frame. I have x-rays, MRIs, and a CT scan-- but no pictures. Thanks.
I have never had strong stomach muscles, but my PS doesn't think I'll need muscle repair when I have my TT. I have degenerative disc disease and can use all the help I can get with core strength. Would that actually help, if it's possible? I see the surgeon again, in a few weeks and was wondering whether I should bring it up. Thank you!
Having degenerative disc disease makes doing abdominal exercise difficult, and progress slow. I have great spinal care now and am working to strengthen my core and loose some excess weight that I've accumulated over the past few years when I couldn't work out. Reducing my abdomen will help relieve some strain on my back. Sit-ups aren't working.
I have disc herniation and degenerative disc disease, because of that I cannot do core exercises so my stomach is getting larger and I am a healthy eater and take very good care of myself. My back hurt so bad but when I lift my stomach up with my hands I have no pain. in this case will a tummy tuck help me.
