I recently had a tummy tuck along with liposuction to flanks hips and back. I follow a lot of Plastic Surgeons on various social media platforms. I came across this one dr who said that wearing a binder after a tummy tuck is dangerous because since you are disconnecting blood flow, you can get into trouble if you compress it. Therefore he does not require his patients to use them. I have never heard of anyone that got a TT that their dr said not to wear one. Please advise if this is necessary.
Need to know what to wear day of TT surgery when going home and recovery ? Binder and drainage tubes will be used after the procedure. How long is the binder used after the TT surgery ?
I've seen some surgeons recommend wearing a faja home from the hospital. Some recommend moving into a stage 1 faja AFTER your drains are removed which makes the most sense. Also is Lipo foam necessary after a TT with lipo?
My concern is a protruding hard pouch I have has since week 2 post tummy tuck. It goes from below the belly button to the mons pubis. I have raised with my PS. He is not concerned yet. They have sent me a second 4 panel binder to put on over my original compression body suit. This helps flatten but it comes back. The 1st two images were taken first thing in the morning and last one was after a full day of wearing my new binder. What is wrong and why am I not flat yet? Should I be worried?
Swelling goes away during the night and returns in morning as I become more active. Doesnt actually hurt just a little uncomfortable bloated feeling. I quite wearing the binder last Thursday. IShould I still be wearing it and for how long? I go back to dr in January.
I am coming up to 10 weeks post op tummy tuck. I took my compression garment off and my binder last week after wearing them round the clock. I have noticed increased swelling. Should I put the compression garment binder back on ?
I'm 2 weeks post tummy tuck with lipo of flanks and bra area I received my compression garment after wearing an abdominal binder for 14 days. The garment felt extremely tight and after a few hours I had to take it off. when I had the garment on, areas other than the incision that were never numb before started to lose sensation. I also started feeling muscle spasms in my back that I never had before. A few minutes after I took it off everything felt better.
