Im two weeks post op (tummy tuck & back lipo combo). I get extremely itchy for moments always wear a cotton shirt under my garment but sometimes it gets so irritating I have to take some allergic medicine such as Benadryl. How can I make it better? Also, Im wearing size M garment but the inferior part (opening to use the bathroom is) puts a lot of pressure on my puvic rea making more swollen & uncomfortable, should go up in size? Or theres something else I can use to ease that discomfort?
I am 16 days po of having a full tummy tuck. At night, my back and belly itch like crazy. I took a Benedryl and it didn't even touch the surface if relieving my itchiness. I even out Allegra cream on my skin. It's not my incision that's itching, it's my belly and back. I wish I could sleep without the binder in my I do not feel comfortable without it. Any suggestions?
I am 4 days post-op from TT and flank lipo. Is it ok to lightly massage the lipo/flank area? My entire abdomen itches but more so in the flank area. It is making me crazy! Is there anything I can do? Benadryl, lotion? If a patient had 2 drains, one putting out a lot and the other putting out very little and the putting out a lot was accidently pulled out, would it be more typical to put it back in or go without? If left out would that increase the chance of swelling or a possible blood clot? Thank you!
I have VERY sensitive skin and my PS shaved my vaginal area like never before. I am 8 wks post op and ANYTHING touching hair there makes we want to scream/scratch. It looks normal and very good but is irritated to the 10th power. The PS can only apologize (go figure). I've tried Benadryl (creams and pills), hydro-cortisone, etc. but no relief. When using a cream hair remover (sensitive formula of VEET) I have relief for a day or 2. Once I have hair grow back and remain, the problem starts again.
I am 10 days PO and am having trouble getting to sleep. This is not related to pain. Before surgery this was not a problem for me. As a last resort, I've started taking a dose and a half of benadryl at around midnight and that will finally knock me out. I don't want to continue to do this indefinitely. Any advice, please?
