I came across a physicians page that estimated dog ears are actually very common, possibly up to 20% of all tummy tucks? I want to minimize risks as much as possible. I am having a standard tummy tuck with lipo on the flanks. Nothing on back. Are there certain risk factors that makes one more prone to them? I am a healthy weight . Ive had 2 c sections and my abdomen bulges out more on one side than the other. Is there anything I can do to minimize risk of dog ears during recovery?
I had a tummy tuck about 7 months ago after weight loss from a Gastric Bypass 10 years ago. I've noticed a bit of asymmetry above my newly created belly button, the left bulging out more than the right. I notice when I do a sit up, intentionally or from a laying in bed situation its still painful there, and the bulge itself hurts. Is this normal? I've had a CT scan due to an ovarian cyst- so I'd think that rules out hernia?
Hello all, i had surgeey over 200 days ago. I had many online consultations with my surgeon as to the kind of surgery best suited for me. I chose a TT plus additional lipo. Surgery went well. On arrival home i noticed a lump to on/below the incision to the right of my belly button plus nonsymetrical results on my hips. My surgeon said to give it time to settle and be patient. I since met my surgeon.my skin elasticity isn't great and that i need more surgery; a 360/back lift/lipo
I was 301lbs and now 240lbs still 36% BMI. Meanwhile I want this asymmetry dealt with. I've had 3 consultations with local doctors. The doctors didn't make me feel confident they knew how to deal with these upper pockets of fat with a regular TT No fleur de lis please. I've had to pay for my consultations and I don't want to pay for another one unless the doctor has worked with this issue. Please someone help
12.21.18 250cc breast implants (love) umbilical hernia repair, mini tum tuck. Ledge on long scar. dr said asymmetry in my body Said bellybutton has hooding cannot be fixed without major scaring. Says flabby skin is normal. I'm 39, 5'4 110lbs, 2 kids naturally. Just wanted wrinkly skin tightened. Does this look normal? Cleared me for all exercises, assuming totally im healed. Second opinion? Im so disappointed with my bellybutton and loose skin. Shouldn't it be tight?! Thanks for your advise.
I am 15 days post op from full TT with MR, I know that I am still very swollen, however it seems that my belly button is about 1/4 inch to the left. I held a piece of yarn and stretched it from the split of my breast to the split of my pubic area and it is definitely not in the middle. It is not horrible, and probably not very noticeable to anyone without really looking at it. But it still bothers me.
I had abdominoplasty with lipo to waist 4 weeks ago , since the surgery I noticed my waist is asymmetrical and right side is very tender and sensitive to touch also lower abdomen pouch . Does this look normal and if not what is best solution?!
I had a tummy tuck and lipo of mid and upper back on June 24th. The drain on my left did well however the drain on my right produced only 5 to 10 cc per day. When the drains were being removed the drain on my right was pointing upward instead of downward. I have had excruciating pain on my right side and right back since surgery with significantly more swelling that appears to be between the size of a golf ball and tennis ball. Could this be an infection or is this normal?
I am 5 weeks post op and while I am pleased overall with my TT results and was pre warned by my ps that there could be some asymmetry, however I'm not happy about just how asymmetric my scar is around the middle of my tummy. Am I being too picky about this and is there any options to get this fixed ?
