I got a TCA chemical peel Tuesday afternoon, it is now Wednesday night and my face is so dry and feels like leather. It is also really tight. What can help with the dryness? And is all of this normal? Its my first peel. The dryness has gotten a lot worse in the last few hours. Photos are of day 1 after peel and of face 2nd day after the peel
However, I cannot tell will they stay indented like this? They never really scanned over, just what seems to be a thin layer of dry skin covering them. Is this normal and will they continue to heal?
I got a TCA peel 4 days ago that was 10% strength. I have not experienced any horrible peeling, however, my skin is a bit tight and dry. I am African American golden brown color (yellow undertone). I have heard of TCA peels not being for ethnic skin so I was hesitant to even get this done. The aesthetician at my derms office said that to get results I would need the TCA peel and that we would need to go up 20%. I am not sure this is wise based on what I have seen as a result of my research.
I already used the15% mandelic acid/ 15% salicidacid peel from MUAC at home .. I did it 4 times Already and I couldnt see much difference.. I just want a peel that will go deep anoth to clear my skin by one application.. I know I have to be very careful with my skin care after I did a strong peel.. I already use 50+sunscreen every day and the sun is not even shining here.. (Germany) what would you recommend for African skin pls?? (I have dry skin without cream.. and oily skin over the day)
