I went to the highest rated ENT in my area to perform my Septoplasty and turbinate reduction (including removing my adenoids). Before the surgery I was worried about my nose changing shape and my doctor said there will absolutely be no change. Fast forward to now - there is a change in the shape of my nose. I went back to follow up and he said he barely notices it and he can add filler to fix it, but im worried that it might collapse if its the saddle nose deformity. Any advice?
I had a septoplasty around 6 months ago, and my septum moves A LOT when I exhale so much so that it completely blocks my right nasal cavity. Also, whenever I sleep on my side, my septum will flop/sag into the nasal cavity of the side Im sleeping on and will completely obstruct the airway. For reference, I had a septoplasty in which my septum was scored and trimmed and adjusted to the midline. Im worried that too much was removed or that my septum is very weak now. Whats happening?
I had a septoplasty done about 6 months ago. It was the worst pain I have ever endured. The surgeon had no idea that I had bad bone spurs until he got started with the surgery. Since the surgery, the inside of my nose is kind of lumpy. One side it curves outward. The other side is thicker where it meets my face but then dips down into a slope and comes back out. I was wondering if this is normal after having surgery done. I have to dig out boogers that get caught. Is this normal?
Hi, I had my septoplacty done 6 months ago. I can breath very well but my nose is still extremely swollen (Or maybe not). My nose used to be very thin before it got crooked. But now my nose is bigger than ever! I get comments on it 24/7. The doctors say its swelling. But swelling? For 6 months? And most of the swelling should have been gone til now, even if there still is swelling its probably not much. Im very frustrated and need answers
I had a septo/rhinoplasty in March to fix a deviated septum & remove a bump on my bridge. The middle part of my bridge is now bumpy on the sides and on the left side it appears there is a seperation. Is it a callous, swelling, or does it look likee an inverted v deformity?
My 16 month old headbutted me last week. I just had a septoplasty in July of this year because my 2 year old headbutted me and I couldn't breathe well on the right side. Now I cannot breathe well on the right side again. Can you tell if this is a deviated septum. There is a reddish pink area that I think I see blocking the opening.
I had a Septoplasty in April this year, all went well and I now can breathe a lot better through my right nostril, since this surgery and has got worse as the time gone on. My throat is extremely dry all the time, I cannot produce any mucus on the right hand side and to be fair I have very little on the left which makes my throat extremely dry that it feels like I have an obstruction/narrowed? Sixth months ago I had a septorhinoplasty to straighten my septum and reduce my nasal hump. No tip work was performed. However, I think my septum has moved back and as a result my nose looks quite crooked. I think if the tip were less deviated it would look more symmetrical? Also I think the caudal septum is poking through on my right nostril and pushes my nose in that direction when I smile. Would a second septoplasty correct the issue? My septum is just like it was pre op now.
I'm a 66 y/o woman who had deviated septum repair and turbinate reduction six months ago but my congestion and breathlessness is getting worse to the point where I feel like I'm dying. I can barely walk without seriously hyperventilating. My current ent keeps saying everything looks fine but now it has gotten to the point where I feel like it's urgent but I don't know if I need to find another ENT or go directly to a plastic surgeon. I need a surgeon who will accept my medicare.
