I had a really bad fall over a year ago and got a septoplasty done the same week I broke my nose. Ive waited a little bit over a year to make sure I was fully healed and now I cant breathe out of my nose and I feel constant pressure and pain in my eyes and head when I went to the doctor he said I had swollen polyps and that it had nothing to do with the surgery even though the pain hasnt gone away since and my snoring got worse and my septum is still deviated did the surgery fail?
Hello I had a Septorhinoplasty about a year ago. My Doctor transferred. This side lump formed post surgery and I have severe swelling with stabbing pain up to my right eye. I was sent to neurologist under the impression that maybe it was migraine or cluster headache. But the mri revealed some weird photos of nose. Now I also have a pneumatized inner sphenoid sinus. I have sharp pains and pressure across the face, what could this be from?
Hi! I had a Septoplasty in March 2022 and my nose has significant scar tissue. I just had my second Kenalog injection but still my nose looks horrible- round and undefined completely different than my original which I was very happy with. Im concerned my surgeon isnt giving me enough Kenalog injections given the time that I have had to live with this new nose which was under the impression septoplastys didnt change your nose! Can I see another surgeon to address this w/o surgery?
Hello, I got a septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery in December 2021 to help with breathing. The surgeon stated the procedure would also straighten my nose. Overall, the procedure was a success. I am breathing far better and my nose bridge is straighter in my opinion. However, the shape of my nasal tip has been quite affected with one side noticably swollen and the overall shape being asymmetrical. Just wanted to ask if this type of swelling for this procedure is common ~11 months later.
March 10th of 2021 I had Septoplasty with Turbinate Reduction of my middle turbinate's (he removed 40-50% each) and small reduction of inferior (less than 10%). I have seen 2 doctors since the surgery both say I would not have removed that much of the middle turbinate but you do not have Empty Nose Syndrome. But I still feel way too much cold air that hits my throat on one side and other is still deviated. I am now dizzy alot and have no idea what do next, it ruined my life !
I had my surgery over a year ago. 1 month post op I started getting some really bad headaches. The ent assured me it was not related to surgery. Fast forward to two weeks ago, They are so unbearable and last for days. My mri came back I have an obstructed nasal cavity. When I looked at the scans myself I also noticed there is some kind of label on my bone. If I get this corrected will these headaches go away? Is this bone label a foreign object?? Im freaking out.
I had a septoplasty and tip work done about 14 months ago. Everything looked great until November, when a small pea size lump was felt and seen (a bit) in the tip of nose. I had many steroid injections, to no avail. Last week, my surgeon made a small incision inside the nostril to cut out scar tissue. Everything was smooth until a week later. I can now feel and see (a little) the lump. He ordered a MRI which found nothing in the cartilage department. Thoughts?
I had septoplasty and FESS 12 months ago and one side of my nostril gets blocked with hard crust that I cannot remove, it hurts and causes pressure on my face. My ENT says theres no issue. But I cant dislodge the crust
When the splints were removed I could breathe! It got better each week. However, after about 6 months the bad side started to feel blocked again. I'm getting sinus infections again. I can't breathe out of my nose when I lay down. The bridge of my nose is now visibly flat. I also have a crease that runs halfway across the bottom portion of the bridge towards the tip. All of these things were not present before my surgery. Any advice?
