I seem to have quite a bit of dimpling around the mouth area. In the past I have had Sculptra on the right side of my jawline to help but wasnt sure if I needed that again, or filler? I also wasnt sure if I could benefit from microneedling or RF microneedling in addition.
I had sculptra for volume loss 11 months ago. There were two injectors working on me, one on each side. My left injector was done in half the time as my right injector and the results are quite different. I have lumps on both sides, but larger and more on the left. My right side has much more volume and is even overfilled in my smile line creating a bubble of skin above my jawline. I have a second treatment planned to address the unevenness, but what about the lumps?
Hi- My face is long and narrow. Im concerned that using Sculptra across jawline makes my face look bottom heavy. I really wish to widen the back of jaw ( Like Brad Pittwishful thinking) then a filler for the rest, that will hopefully firm without thickening so much. My chin area has never been addressed with fillers and realizing Sculptra would be disastrous, could I use a filler to smooth out the creases and dimpling from age without adding volume? Im over 55.
I have too much sculptra volume in the jaw. If I use Retin-A on my jaw will it encourage even more collagen? Can I use Retin-A where I want more collagen, and not where I don't? Also, if I put SPF everywhere on my face except my jaw, can I make my jaw go down faster than the rest? Thank you.
Im 64 and had 4 vials of Sculptra a year ago in my cheekbones and jawline, effectively giving me a facelift, which I hate. I expect the 3rd treatment would have sorted the hollows I did want done, but then Id look even younger, so I dont want to risk anymore Sculptra. Will the collagen produced by sculptra take longer to go away than my own collagen? If so, I will end up stuck with the cheekbones and jaw and even hollower cheeks than I already have. And will the shape stay the same as all collagen on the face degrades at the same rate? Or will the Sculptra degrade first and my normal face shape come back? Will my face always look younger when the Sculptra has gone?
Im 64 and got 4 vials sculptra a year ago for hollows + saggy jowls due to weight loss. The experienced Dr extended my jaw. I thought Sculptra was subtle but I now have a square face + broad, sculptured jaw and I look like I've had a face lift and grind my teeth. And it did nothing for the hollows and saggy jowls. I'm so depressed. I hate how I look now. I don't want more sculptra. Can I get rid of it? I read it could last 5-7 years in the jaw. Is that correct? Most doctors say sculptra lasts 2 years, some 2-3, and a few say 5-7 years. What is your personal experience please of how long Sculptra lasts in someone age 63/64.? Thank you
I recently read an alarming article on fillers & vascular occlusion and was wondering how long after your last filler injection would put you in the clear? FYI My last Sculptra (temples) was 5 mos. ago & Voluma (temples, jawline, brow) 7+ mos. but was looking fwd to doing more soon. Also, would Voluma be considered safer than Sculptra in these areas? Thx!
I had sculptra injected and he put it in the opposite side of my face that needed it (one side was good on its own & another side needed a little extra filling) but he ended up overfilling the side that was already full and then placed sculptra in my jawline unevenly and it's been a month and now one side of my jaw is heavy and masculine looking. He injected 7 syringes which was about 3/4 of a vial. I turned 24 the week after I was injected. Please help. What can I do to prevent it from growing?
I had sculptra one week ago in my cheeks where I had hollows near my ears, only one vile. I did have another treatment one month prior in the same area and also in my temples. This time only in my cheeks. I took a selfie yesterday and my face looks distorted. The skin around my smile is puffy and now when I smile its so thick looking making me look square and making my mouth area project more than my cheeks! Im incredibly terrified. Its weird because I dont believe my injector Put anything there
Received two vials of Sculptra three weeks ago, some of which was injected along my jawline. The following day I noticed a fixed, hard 4-6 mm oblong lump on my right jawline, palpable but not visible, at the site of the cannula insertion. I notified my dermatologist and was instructed to keep massaging the area. No improvement, I followed up again and was offered a variety of non-reassuring explanations such as, it could have been there all along. Now it's tender and I have a swollen node.
