I'm considering getting sculptura but I'm afraid of granuloma and nodule formation. What can one do if a granuloma or nodule forms? Does this treatment really work to improve tightening of the face and how often does this have to be redone? Is this something that permanently remains?
Is there a way to remove a delayed side effect of Sculptra that I may be experiencing? It is like a grain of sand or medium size drive-way rocks under the thin skin of my right eye. Easily treatable, for sure, and 'occasionally' will go away on their own but don't, a year later. These little sand like grains are just a wee bit painful 'everyday'. Is an under-eye bag lift by a very qualified surgeon, familiar with PLA the only real solution to this slight problem?
I have experiences with hyaluronic acid fillers forming granulomas - specifically volbella. I have hypertrophic scarring from childhood injuries. I like the idea of Sculptra stimulating collagen and has long term benefits. But I believe I am a poor candidate. Is there anything that is safe for people like me who want to ease the first signs of aging?
I had Sculptra 20 months ago. I got every side effect (except granulomas) and still having inflammation. I know they say the volume last 2 years but what about the side effects? I read Sculptra actually stays in your skin/body for 3 to 7 years (not the volume). What is the real truth and what can I expect?
I have had two large granulomas appear a couple of months after injection. He has injected an enzyme to remove the sculptra and has injected both granulomas - but I'm not sure what with. He used a canula the last time. He mentioned last time that if nothing helps he might inject them with a small amount of chemotherapy (?) This sounds very scary to me. I can live with these if I don't think they will keep spreading around my face and will eventually fade. Also I am now on antibiotics.
Any additional information on the degradation of poly l lactic acid? I have over 20 or 30 nodules ad well as granulomas. Any help, legally, or medically is appreciated. Also the poly l lactic acid travels within my body. I see in my knees, legs, feet, arms, wrists, and of course all over my face. I take pictures and you can literally see it travel day to day. It moves or travels to what appears to be joints or end of bones i.e., elbows, wrists, fingers, etc.
I'm 3months out of 1 vial of sculptra its my first treatment. I don't like the results so that I've got two kenalog injections to reduce volume. Kenalog helps. But I found some hard invisible but large size bumps on my cheeks recently.I massaged it aggressively but it grows bigger suddenlynow the bump is visible and I feel painful when I touch it is that granulomasdid I get infectionwill more lumps developed in futurewhat should I dothank you for answering!
