An injector Im going to use says sculptra will look crystal clear, like water or saline in her syringes, as the sculptra fully dissolves and it will look like clear water after 24 hours. However, with other injectors Ive used it never looks crystal clear, it looks cloudy or theres some particles/ powder swimming about in the solution as its just diluted and not dissolved like she says. She also says its 4ml Solution she administers, but I thought it was 5 -8ml per vial? Please advise !
How is it possible that sculptra lumps can last years when Sculptra itself is supposedly dissolved anywhere from 6 months (as some doctors on Realself contend) to a maximum of 2 years as most doctors and Galderma contend?
My aesthetician want to try Sculptra on my face and I was reading the package insert and it says you should not use the product if youve had problems with hypertrophic, scarring, and or dissolvable sutures. Ive had problems with both of these long ago in the past, but never on my face. What do you think?
Sad story, I had botched lipo on my outer thighs. I've had 4 revision fat graft surgeries & I'm out of fat. My doctor told me Sculptra would last forever &that the company has to put 2years because it was only studied for 2years. He said after the product dissolves you are left with collagen for life, but no one else seems to be saying the same thing. I trust my surgeon. How long does it really last? Does the collagen feel like fat? I don't want to have to get Scupltra for the rest of my life.
I got sculptra injected 6 weeks ago and in my 5 week it started nicely filling out my face then a few days later it all dissapated. I thought sculptra lasted 2 years not 2 days. Is my body rejecting the collagen it created? I hope i didnt waste my money. Im so dissapointed. I go for my second treatment next week. that will make a total of 3 vials.
I understand it is primarily used for nodules but have heard it can help in cases with overfill/collagen overgrowth and has quite a good success rate. I was injected in the wrong place in my cheeks (above the cheekbone and close to the orbital rim) and it has left me looking deformed. Do any Dr's here try this method? What are the success rates? How common is skin atrophy? Thank you.
It's almost 9 weeks after my first Sculptra injection, I don't have lumps or nodules but just very depressed with too much volume added.(just got 1 vial for cheeks, smile lines and also lower face. ) I wento to my injector he refused to help because he thought I need that much volume which I don't like. But I went to other doctors they all admitted that I was overfilled for the lower face. Is it a good time to get collagenase injection to get back my face before sculptra? Please Advice!
Sculptra nodules ( formed about 5 mos after 2nd injection)diagnosed as chronic sialadentitis and incipient mucus escape reaction have caused excessive saliva in my mouth that is driving me insane. I understand steroids can help but I am now absolutely terrified of injecting anything into my body. I need to know any possible side effects. Thank you.
