Hello, I have a scar from liquid nitrogen used by a nurse to freeze possible molluscum contagiosum since October 2019. Im so conscious about it as its on my mons pubis. Please help me by advising what treatment, using cream only, should remove it. I saw the last answers advising laser treatment but it is too expensive for me. The scar is small but it is still really annoying me. Thanks!
I am a 41 year old female who went to a local dermatologist to have a sun spot looked at on my left cheek. The dermatologist suggested liquid nitrogen to burn it off. It looks worse now than it did before. On top of that, the second visit he decided to burn 2 other spots on my face that I never even noticed and are now large, dark and concaved scars. I am at a loss at this point, and beyond frustrated. Help!!
What would be the potential best case and worst case scenario of freezing this scar off? It is the size of a raisin and thick/raised. It is a few layers of skin deep. Will freezing it peel it off and leave a completely flat surface that is COMPLETELY flush with the surrounding skin? Is it possible that it will leave no detectable contour after? How does the liquid nitrogen know to only freeze and destroy the scar tissue? I will probably get a cosmetic tattoo over it after.
The dermatologist(well, resident since it is a teaching hospital!) used liquid nitrogen to remove several scaly patches on my legs. After about 3 months, I still have faint but noticeable brown spots from the treatment. One burn on the back of my calf was especially deep. The original spots were no worse than the scars ..Can this be addressed or improved by ANY treatment? Topical? Laser? (And why on earth didn't the qualified attending physician warn me?)
I got liquid nitrogen for little skin tag in between my eyes. It healed but left a scar, went back he suggested another liquid nitrogen treatment to get rid of it. Blister was huge, he said it would come off in 2 days, it didn't so I washed it off. Left a huge indent scar. Really dissapinted in my doctor's advice and now I have no idea what to do. It is hard to cover up, I just wanted my skin to feel even, now it's even worse! Please help! Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated!!!
I heard that dry ice can be used to apply directly on keloid, similar to liquid nitrogen.I have one small keloid on chest, it just sometime made me feel pain and itchy before. Then I had 4 sessions treated by liquid nitrogen but it has grown back after that, even it turns be worse, it's larger (x3), more and more painful and itchy. It makes me lose all confidence. How can i do with dry ice?Is this safe to do by myself? If so how large can I apply it on my scar?A part or whole? Please help me.Thanks!
