About 5 months ago I had my first and only ever serious outbreak of cold sores on my mouth. Around the time they were developing, I had decided to pick at the pores on my nose and accidentally broke the skin (which I had never done and was quite surprised). This must have spread the virus, because within days I had a cluster of sores on my nose where the skin was broken. After they healed, I was left with this scar. Any idea what is the best treatment? Also for the enlarged pores?
I've had some cold sore scars on my upper lip along my vermillion border (both sides) that I got from not letting the scabs heal completely. They've mostly turned white from loss of pigment, but when my lips are flush with blood (I'm very vascular/thin skinned) it looks worse. I've struggled a lot mentally with having the scars, it's kinda like a stamp on my face that I have HSV-1. What are my options? Would a tattoo work?
I had a cold sore on my upper lip and an allergic reaction to oysters at the same time. My upper lip got very swollen. The cream that I used had cortisone in it and after using it and didn't help. Went to the pharmacy who confirmed the allergic reaction and gave me allergy pills and Zovirax cream for the cold sore. I am left with a redness type of scar on my upper lip and skin for over 2 months now. What can I do?
I have a white scar on my lip from a cold sore. It's very tiny, but the white scar is noticeable on my lip and making me very self-conscious. I've used vitamin E, Maderma, and scar treatment from Forces of Nature. I've considered a glycolic acid peel but read it could cause more harm. What is my best option? Thank you.
