I started getting boils all the time mostly under my armpits. I hit my highest weight of 293lbs! Boils seemed to come back to back, mostly no relief, it was a nightmare! I started my weight loss journey and dropped 60lbs only then did I stop getting boils. But the damage had been done. My armpits look awful, and I'm very self conscious about lifting my arms or wearing short sleeves. The boils left horrible scars. Can plastic surgery help somewhat make my armpits look nice again.
For several years now I have had bumpy armpits . The scars left behind are kind of deep as if I run my finger over it , I can feel a hole . I started to exfoliate with 2% salicylic acid body wash and apply a brightening toner underneath my pits a few days ago . I would like to know if there are any at home and in office procedure I can do or perform to at least lessen the severity
I am 40 years old, and had a revision done 2 1/2 years ago. Surgeon use the same incision and this is how my scars look. Surgeon has shrugged off my concerns and I have received several second opinions, including a derm doc. I did two sessions of micro needling, and they still look dark and are sunken in. I have now started silicone therapy. What else can I do? One surgeon suggested laser therapy, but is is costly and I already spent $1k in microneedling.
I had my initial breast reduction March 2016 with axillary fat removed. After surgery I developed thick purple keloids on the both sides of my breast, armpit and nipples. Tried silicone sheeting and creams. November of 2017 surgeon removed the keloids on my sides and my armpit. I did embrace and creams, keloids have grown back to the size they were. They are very painful. I want to re excise the keloids, but also want combination therapy including corticosteroid injections, radiation therapy. Is there a specialist in Dallas/ Fort Worth?
11 years ago I had extra breast tissue removed under my armpits. Previously my armpits had a lot of breast tissue that looked like a ball of fat. Not only was I self conscious about my armpit fat they also were very physically uncomfortable. when I would get my period the armpit breast balls would swell and get sore like my regular breasts so a doctor recommended I have the extra breast tissue removed. Little did I know I would be left with these deep dark scars. Please tell me there's hope?!
When I was 15 I started getting huge boils some got as big as a grape. Earlier this year the doctor had to lance one under my left armpit (again). Both arms have healed but the scar tissue is so painful and has gotten to the point where it hurts to put my arms down in their natural positions. The scars are also tender to touch and constantly break open and get infected again. Would it be recommended that I have the scars removed and if so would it be beneficial?
