I just had a functional septorhinoplasty done 4 days ago and since day 1 of the OP ive been noticing that swallowing is very hard. When my nose is cleared i can actually swallow without a problem but when both my nostrils are blocked it does sort of a vacuum inside my nose and the mucus is pushing it's way back in my throat making a crackling nose inside my nose that's very unsettling. Could this affect the results of the surgery or the healing process? i do use saline spray to rinse to help it
I am 5 days post op for my rhinoplasty. My right side is still bleeding - not profously, but a small steady stream.....like a constant drip. My concern is the amounts of fluids in the back of my throat. It is difficult to talk and/or swallow due this fluid in the back of my throat. I already have anxiety issues and have had trouble swallowing in general even prior to this surgery, so I'm not sure if this is just a normal recovery. Please help ease my mind.
I had my rhinoseptoplasty 2 days ago and I still have my nasal packing in (I'm allowed to remove it tomorrow). My problem is that when I eat or swallow my ears lock and I feel pressure on my nose. Can the reason be the packing? I also feel like swallowing causes some bleeding, but I can't be sure that's the reason. Is bloody drainage normal on day three?
