At 2 weeks post op rhinoplasty I hit my nose with my hand and it didn't hurt much but for the rest of the night I had a slight throbbing on the side I hit it on which was on the left side of my nasal bone and the next day it was fine but then a 1 month old baby I was holding accidently bumped his head on the right tip of my nose while holding him and again not much pain but a slight throbbing on that side for the rest of the night. Will this affect the end result?
Im 10 days away from my 3 month check-up. Everything has been healing fine until a few days ago when I started to feel a mild pulsating, pressure pain on the bridge of my nose. This has lasted for 3 days now and Ive also noticed my nose is more sore/swollen than usual. I feel the pressure when I do something as simple as drinking water or speaking. Prior I had very little discomfort, this week Im more sore/swollen and tighter all over my nose. Havent felt this much discomfort since month 1.
Hello, I underwent a Septo-Rhinoplasty on Monday April 29th, and I still have a very sore thorat/tongue 5 days post-op. I reached out to my post-op care nurse yesterday via email and she advised me that this is normal and to use lozenges and gargle salt water. However, everywhere I check online it says sore throat should only last a few days and get progressively better everyday. Is this normal?
I had rhinoplasty over 3 months ago. My nose is still sore at the tip if I touch it and sometimes it is sore at the bridge. Is this normal and how long would it take for the soreness to heal
Tuesday I got a cold, a week prior to my scheduled rhino. I have a stuffy nose and slightly sore throat. I went to my general physician, who said my breathing was normal. I'm taking paracetamol and an antihistaminic. My surgery is in two days and I'm not 100% yet. I still have a slightly stuffy nose and a cough. I did not have a fever, nor do I feel ill, with aches nor pains, and my physician still says my breathing is clear and normal. I'm scared to call my surgeon for he might say to postpone...
Hi all, I got a rhinoplasty 6 days ago and had a tracheal intubation. I know it is normal to have some throat pain because of this after, however its been 6 days and the pain is still there. It is extremely painful, I haven't been able to eat anything solid, and barely anything liquid, even water and my own saliva burns going down. I use lozenges, a throat spray, salt gargle, antibacterial mouthwash but nothing works!! What is wrong with me! I have no fever, steadying around 35.5C.
After a cold, I became obsessed with cleaning the inside of my nose. Two weeks ago my septum became sore and irritated. There is some puss and blood that sits on the side of my septum. My nose is very dry. I cannot get into an ENT for just over a month. I am worried that my septum has been permanently damaged and I will inevitably develop a hole. I keep it moisturized with nasal gel spray. Once there is damage (no hole yet), is it possible for the mucus membrane to heal? Can I help it heal?
Today, I got hit on the side of my nose by a rubber duck that my little sister threw at me. It only hurt for a minute or two, & then I got a bump on the side of my nose. I didn't get hit hard, & I'm pretty sure my nose didn't break from a rubber duck. My nose didn't bleed or anything, but I feel mildly sore (which went away later that day). So will the bump go away, & will the swelling go down? If so, then how long would it take? & how should I treat it? Thank you in advanced!!
Today is my 5th day post op from my closed rhinoplasty+septoplasty. I had a sore throat and injured uvula after surgery that seemed to be getting better after by the third day. Then yesterday and today the sore throat seemed to get worse, and I have pressure/pain in my ears and my head. Is this due to the swelling?
