I want to use the sauna and do a 36hr fast for the overall health benefits. Maybe 3 weeks after surgery. I'm wondering if the natural boost in growth hormone (sauna and fasting) or the boost in stem cells (fasting) will have a negative impact on the way my nose heals in terms of aesthetics. I got rhinoplasty to thin out the sides of my nose and reduce the small hump. Will the extra growth hormone and stem cells make it more likely that my nose will heal thicker or bumpy? Any resources?
I'm currently at 8 weeks and 4 days post surgery. I'm happy with the results, however, will like to know if it's ok for me to go inside a sauna. I'm concern that the exuberant heat may have adverse reactions on my still healing nose. I wouldn't like to do anything to jeopardize my healing journey but I miss going inside the sauna as it was very relaxing. Thank you for your replies.
Today I'm currently at 16 days post op and feel that I'm slowly but surely making good progress. I'm an avid gym/sauna goer and was wondering when it'll be safe for me to enter extreme temperatures and start exerting myself at the gym. I don't want to jeopardize the integrity of my results and recovery. Additionally, when will I project to have full range of my upper lip? I'll like to smile again but feel that my upper lip is very tight don't want to ruin anything that's still healing.
I was 13 days post op and ended up getting a major nose bleed. I ended up in the ER and they has to repack the left side of my nose. BRUTAL. The packing has since dissolved and I am 17 days post op. Next week I am planning to go relax at a spa resort. Could I do some little swimming (head above the water), also is it to early to use the dry SAUNA? and lastly would I be able to have a massage? Thanks feedback
I had my stitches removed two days ago and the incision look redder and when I put on bacitracin it burns. Any recommendation on what to put on it to help with the redness. Also, can I go in a sauna?
