I had rhinoplasty on the 8 of March and 2 weeks after I have pus coming out from my left nostril. Ive gone to the doctor back home and they gave me antibiotic.. Ive just completed it yesterday but the pus is still coming and Im just scared now and need advise is the nose infected and is the pus ever going to go away. Ps rib cartilage was taken and used for the bridge of my nose
After a cold, I became obsessed with cleaning the inside of my nose. Two weeks ago my septum became sore and irritated. There is some puss and blood that sits on the side of my septum. My nose is very dry. I cannot get into an ENT for just over a month. I am worried that my septum has been permanently damaged and I will inevitably develop a hole. I keep it moisturized with nasal gel spray. Once there is damage (no hole yet), is it possible for the mucus membrane to heal? Can I help it heal?
It started out like a redness on the tip of the nose, and grown big and one night, pus started oozing out. I thought it was a pimple and let it be. The 2nd night it was still the same, oozing out pus after i washed my face. I had a gore tex implant 7 months back. When i sent the photo to my surgeon, he was away on holiday but he replied that it is an infection and required removal. I was floored and worried. Does it look like an infection that requires removal? I didnt have fever/any ache.
Ive had my rhinoplasty 3 years ago. They took some of my rib to give me a defined bridge in addition to alar reduction. I noticed that since then, I have been getting acne on my nose. It is usually a big one that does not form a pus on the surface. As a result, you can see a big bump right smack in the middle of my nose. I usually have one big bump every two months. I get rid of them by using a sterile lancet, squeezing out the pus that is trapped underneath, then applying a colloid patch.
I had an alar base revision on my left nostril 3 weeks ago. I had the stitches taken out 2 weeks ago. The area started swelling a bit and turn red yesterday. When I pressed it, I could feel it was a little bit inflamed. This morning, I noticed there was a small pus bubble. I popped it and excess bloody fluid came out. It doesn't hurt when I press it, but it is tender. It is still red and slightly swollen like in the picture. Is it possibly cause of a dissolvable stitch inside? Is it infected?
Chronic swelling of tip. Interstitial fluid bloating. Feeling of space or gap between subcutaneous and cartilage. Occasional infection at dermis (red, painful, surface pores ooze/pus). 2x Triamcinolone injections = 5 days of relief, then swelling returns. 3x months doxycycline (infection?) = no change. LED and IPL courses (rosacea?) = no change. Diet, exercise, done it ALL. ENT says next step thin subcutaneous tissue in surgery. Any ideas before I return to theatre? Help!
