Its been 5 years since my rhinoplasty surgery and the other day I picked my nose (not even violently, just a little bit) and my columnella feels weird and its like I popped something out of place. My lips look different, too. I know that there are muscles (or something like that) holding it to the lips and my philtrum area doesnt feel as tight anymore. My lips look flatter!! Im so distressed and unsure of what to do!
I became obsessed with making sure my nose was clean and found myself always picking it as I hated the feeling of something in my nose. It got so bad that at times i was convinced there was boogers that i could feel but couldnt reach so i would really dig quite deep. This happened over a couple of years and I have now noticed a significant change in the shape of my nose, it is wide, my nostrils are now visible and quite large and the tip is very large. Has picking my nose caused this? Pls help
The old left side of my nose is bigger because my nostril is bigger on the left side? I searched realself and got mixed answers..? What should I do? Is there a simple solution to this?
I pick my nose everyday and have been since my rhinoplasty 3 months ago. One day 6 weeks post-op, I was dripping blood from my nose and had to cover it for a few minutes for it to stop. I frequently find small amounts of blood in my mucus. Can said nosebleeds irritate the tissues in my nose tip and supratip and result in increased scar tissue formation there? I'm worried if I might have made them more bulbous.
I had rhino and septo 3 weeks ago and as soon as the splits came off I couldn't keep my fingers away from my nose. I kept picking it and then I would saline wash it and use the ointment. Now yes it's sore and red and have talked with my surgeon and waiting on his reply. But if it is infected can this cause any issues in the future. Please inform me of the common and also rare. Thanks in advance.
I picked the top of my nose and after I did that there was this strange feeling that something moved /popped out of place? Ever since then I can see the tip of my nose constantly in my vision. I think I moved the lower literal cartilage when I was picking / cleaning. Can this ever be fixed? It's really awful seeing my tip of my nose in my vision.
