I had a septorhinoplasty in the UK in July 2022 and my nasal bridge looks bigger than before. For context, I have thick oily acne-prone skin and I was told by my surgeon that it could take potentially 2 years to fully heal. I will be going on accutane soon for my acne and I have heard that it can potentially reduce appearance of the size of the nose due to the effects it has on sebaceous glands however I was considering steroid injections? Can anyone please advise?
I am scheduled for a rhinoplasty in a month while on Accutane (Oratane 20mg every second day), but opinions vary. Some surgeons believe Accutane can improve results, while others suggest it may affect scarring. My surgeon advises stopping Accutane 20 days before and a week after surgery. Seeking another opinion is important. If I must stop Accutane for 6 months, I risk losing my payment and interrupting acne treatment. If I only stop 20 days prior is it even worth stopping? Thank you in advance.
Ive gone to two consultations for a rhinoplasty in which I was advised to get on the treatment to help thin out the skin for my rhinoplasty. (Isotretinoin) My question is if this treatment actually helps thin out the skin on the nose ? I had a non surgical nose job done a year ago with radiesse as well!! Any advice or replies will be greatly appreciated.
I have only took 7 days of Accutane tablets which are 20g, I am Now having a nose job in 6 weeks time. What are the effects of taking Accutane when having a nose job? I dont want to wait to take my acne treatment. Does this affect my course if I stop and start few months after
Hi there. I have been in the process of thinning out my skin for rhinoplasty via Accutane. Unfortunately I got covid last month (asymptomatic). I had no symptoms at all and was wondering if that would affect my surgery? I have to go to a second consultation so he can see if my skin is ready for surgery but would like to hear another doctors opinion as well. Thanks in advance xx
What is the worst case scenario if I get a rhinoplasty procedure done while I'm accutane? I'm aware that the healing process is extended but I would be okay with that. Small incisions are made below my nose so I don't see the issue?
In the last few months I have noticed a change in my nose tip in that one side seems to have become higher than the other. A dermatologist told me it's just the nose cartilidge changing with age. I am on very low dose isotretinion for my skin. Is it possible to have a filler to even out the middle of the tip of the nose?
