Its been almost two years since Ive my sinoplasty/rhinoplasty. I still have a very bulbous tip/drooping collumela that still swells occasionally. I have thick skin but was never told to tape. Ive already gone through one round of steroid injections that gave me some temporary results. Im now seeing some bumps on my tip which I am concerned might be scar tissue. Is there anything I can do now short of revision?
- my nose needs to be made measurably longer as the nostrils and columella sit too high up (symptom of nose being over-rotated & lacking projection?) - the tip cartilages need to be moderately narrowed - the columella needs to be made longer & thicker - need projection added to the tip - need nostrils narrowed, preferably through the tentpole affect occurring secondary to tip grafts for projection as opposed to excision of tissue Are these goals achievable to the degree shown in photos?
Hello, I have had bellafill to the tip and column of my nose. From what I've read, many surgeons won't perform on patients like myself. Why does bellafill in the nose make it much more difficult to operate on, especially if you are happy with the placement and wouldn't want to alter those areas in a rhinoplasty? For instance, I would only want to make my nose bridge thinner. Is this possible?
I am noticing what appears to be swelling to my columella (never had before) and tip (was previously almost resolved). I had steroid injections and needed filler to correct small dents (bridge, tip). Now appearance is straight instead of sloped, which I hate. The filler was 6 mos ago, and just last month I noticed my columella was drooping when smiling. I am very concerned and don't know how to bring this up with my MD. I see him next week.
Hi. I been noticing something off with my columella. My tip in general. My surgeon checked it out and said it looks good but the scar where the insicion looks a bit raised. Instructed me to massage and I been but dont see ANY different. Whats going on with my nose?!!!!!
My nostrils appear unequal, left side of nose look like bulging out and right side nostril is not visible from front. Columella is deviated towards the right side. I am very depressed because of this i fear if i go for rhinoplasty it will become worse or my nose will look broad.
I had a lot of trauma in the tip and columella area that caused my nose to turn upward and become wider than it already was before. And retracted columella. Also had nasal trauma injury where I had a hard pull to my nose and seemed to cause a bit of saddle nose worse than I already had and footplates poke out more now. Is it possible to pull the columella as far as the picture below and suture it to be pulled together more? I would like to keep my bump and the roundness since I am mixed w black!
I tried to pierce my septum multiple times in the span of a month without thinking of real consequences, I know. It was fine at first but then I pierced higher up in cartilage twice and then I took it out, was still in tact, but once it started to heal day by day, the bottom cartilage of my nose tip and columella seems to retract, but also detach the cartilage and cause my nose to become wider and appear a lot shorter. Also seems deviated. Nostrils show more and are less round and more oval now.
