Hello i just had mohs surgery 3 weeks ago. It was a direct closure on side of the nose. So no flap or skin graft was needed. I want rhinoplasty in Turkey in 3 or 4 months time! Is this safe and possible? I have read mixed things about if you can have it after mohs.
Hello, I have Bell's palsy and rosacea also was burned under my nose and on lips and had cancer treatment. I'll explain below.1. Bells has made my nose hard to breath out of, say and good on left eye, brow is flat, can't form smile on left in fact looks like frown mostly. Looks like double chin on one side. Can these be corrected? 2. Rosacea - would like to correct redness and make my nose like it use to be, in other words back to smaller version 3. Fix the burns under nose and correct lips. 4. Help get rid of some of this texture that cancer treatment has gov possibly soften it?
I notice a lump/pump on my nose a few days ago. When I look at old pictures my cartilage on the nose has always been visible but now on the right side it has definitely got bigger. I have an appointment with a doctor in a week, I'm so afraid that this could be cancer.
This may be a dumb question. If a nose can be rebuilt after having cancer where much of the tissue is removed, and still look decent, why is it seemingly impossible to make A nose that has had multiple revisions look normal? What is the difference between rebuilding a totally deformed cancer stricken nose as compared to rebuilding a nose that has been botched by prior surgeons? Thanks for input.
Can I get rhinoplasty after having radiation on nose due to cancer. I have a tumor in nose so Im getting radiation on it. Doctor doesnt recommend a nose job because he says it would be worse due to scar tissue and that tissue doesnt heal and would make a hole. I really want rhinoplasty its crooked and bulbous tip.
On the left side of my nose I have a soft 'lump' which is not very noticeable but I am able to feel it. It is not inside the nose but rather under the skin. I had also had a nose piercing at the age of 18 (I am now 42). The right side of my nose is flat and straight, whereas the other side is 'swollen'.
My question focused on the material I plan to use for my nose Rhinoplasty. If I were to use ear cartilage for my tip and gore-tex for my nose bridge, what are the risk (for ex. 3% of revision) I would like to hear your personal stories of using Gore-tex. So far, it seems like I should avoid gore-tex but there are success stories. I'm trying to make peace with the risk of placing Gore-tex in my body unless it's going to cause me cancer or destroy my nose forever.
