I had a small bump removed and tip made smaller. But my side profile still looks the exact same, just the tip looks bigger from swelling. The bump on my nose does not feel like swelling. The skin is thin. I am only 11 days post op but I have seen other people with a bump removed and it's gone right away. I spent 7000$ for this surgery and am just very discouraged. I know it takes a while for swelling to go down.. Just can't believe it still looks the same.
I'm 9 days post-op, & my surgeon instructed me to tape my nose at night to reduce swelling. However, I don't notice a difference in swelling with taping vs. not taping, even with firmly applied pressure. Removing the tape gently & slowly still pulls & lifts the skin slightly and I believe it undoes all the compression the tape may have done. Taking that into account, does taping the nose have any actual benefit? I've read that scar tissue can form in the absence of taping. What's your opinion?
i had an open rhinoplasty 11 days ago and have dissolvable stitches placed on my columella. My surgeon did not remove them as he said they will fall themselves. How long will it take for the stitches on my columella to dissolve?
Good evening! I'm trying to stay sane and positive, so a little advice is really appreciated. 9 days after my revision rhinoplasty my dog hit me with his head. I waited for a few days the swelling to resolve and now I can clearly see and feel that my cartilage is broken. I'm going to check with a doctor as soon as I go back home, as I'm currently abroad until Monday. But until then I need some piece of mind, can this be fixed without surgery? Thank you in advance and have a great weekend.
I am about 10 days post operation and I hate what I see so far. I had a bump removed which looks great from the profile now, but now my entire nose from the front view looks wider. I had work done as well to narrow my nose including the tip, but everything seems much wider. When do most patients get excited about their nose? Is it normal to not like it yet? How often do you see patients hate their nose at first but then love it later?
I am post op day 11. I feel like my new nose does not fit my face, the tip is so high and the entire nose is very pig like. In certain angles I look like i have Michael Jacksons nose. My surgeon said I have thick skin so he was going to make the tip a little higher because it will come down, but I feel like its too high? Will it eventually look normal on my face?
Hello, I had my surgery done and 10 days ago and had the splint taken off yesterday. My skin is absolutely awful, oily and raised blackheads on the nose (as expected). The doctor said I can wear make up so this includes removal of make up. So my question is, can I use a blackhead nose strip for removal so soon after surgery? Thank you for your time

Hello. I am 9 days post rhinoplasty today. Today while I was outdoors an insect fell on my nose and I acted instinctively by trying swipe it off and I hit my nose with my palm accidently (not too strong but not just a pat on the nose either). My nose seems to be the tinniest bit more swollen on the side that I hit it on. Other than that and a little bit of a throbbing sensation after the hit I didn't notice anything wrong. Should I be worried about my results?
