-What type of revision would I need to solve these issues? Had my first rhinoplasty 2 years ago. I believe I have pollybeak deformity because I asked for an upturned nose. -Did the surgeon remove too much cartilage which caused pollybeak deformity. Also my nostril show is much bigger than before from the side and front socket like appearance. -Do I have inverted V deformity?
Hello doctors - I underwent revision rhinoplasty with a silicone implant on my bridge, rib, and ear cartilage for the tip and alarplasty five months ago. I've noticed that my nose isn't getting smaller. Some people suggested I might need another nose revision. I'm reluctant to undergo unnecessary revisions. Could it be just remaining swelling, or might I have developed a pollybeak deformity? Should i do another alarplasty to make my nose smaller or total nose revision?
Its been 1.5 years since my septic-rhinoplasty and Ive been waiting for a while now for my top swelling to go down. I understand I have thick skin and it will take a while for my tip to go down especially but it the supra tip is making my tip look big while my bridge is low so it looks weird. But I dont know if this is a c complication or just swelling. I think its swelling or scar tissue because when I press down its pretty squishy still. Its worse when I smile and the tip drops.
I had a primary rhinoplasty a while back. First, is it possible pollybeak and saddlenose deformities formed? A lot of my bridge was removed which was not discussed with me prior. Second, I have deep shadows that make my tip look pinched. Breathing issues have occurred as well. What type of grafts would you use to fix this? Overall, what would you recommend with this case based on what I've provided?
I got my nose done 10 months ago. From the start my nose swelling was crazy. After cast removal it looked like a pollybeak ( ill add pics for reference ) and it wasnt going down. I was able to get 2 steroids one around 3 months and another and 6 months. They worked so well for me Especially the one at 6 months but after that it started to bloat up / swell. He wont give me any more injections in fear of dents. Do I need a revision???
I had primary rhinoplasty over a year and a half ago and have had 3 rounds of kenalog shots to reduce excessive swelling. But it keeps coming back and the shots only work for a few months. I have heard 5FU shots can be used for people with thick skin, is this a viable option for me? Or is revision rhinoplasty the only way? Im devastated and dont know if i can afford another surgery :(
Hi! In 2020, I had a revision rhinoplasty after the 1st left me with a pollybeak. During my revision, I also had a lip lift to improve asymmetry from hemifacial microsomia. Now, my alar seems retracted & nostril is 'pulling my lip back down', causing more asymmetry. I'm at a loss. :/ My doctor is genuinely great and skilled, but my results seem to be falling short. How does one know when to give up vs. when to ask our surgeon for more help? I am nervous to politely address :(
Had rhinoplasty two years ago and Im taking these photos today. I hate how my side profile looks, especially when smiling or compressing my lips. Wondering if I should try seeing my doctor that did it for revision or if I should go elsewhere. Also wondering if anyone is able to tel from my few photos what exactly is wrong with it, if it is polybeak and if it looks like an easy fix.
In 2019 I had just a small dorsal jump removed. I thought for a long time I developed a small pollybeak but after having a series of steroid shots I now think it's just supratip bone that wasn't shaved to match the new bridge. I've always like the tip of my nose and don't want that changed at all. Would it be realistic for a revision to just shave down the supratip a tiny amount? I made my own edit where all I did was moved that down and not touch anything else and that was definitely goal.
