It should of been a big red flag when I went in for my initial consultation and was given a two and a half page print-out of treatments she said I needed totaling over $20,000. I wasn't even 30 years old! I had no major issues with my skin other than excess oil and the occasional breakout and was really just looking for a suggested skincare routine. Regardless, I still continued to go to Z. Both offices are nice and comfortable and I enjoyed that. Over time though I began to notice things I did not like. The staff, including Dr. Z, are friendly but over friendly to the point where it doesn't seem genuine. It comes across very routine and fake. I started noticing I would receive many compliments on my skin and great it looked but they would almost always be followed up with "Oh but you really need this or you really need that". It is overly obvious the staff are trained sales people and I constantly felt products and treatments being pushed on me. Oh and every staff member you come into contact with will be sure to ask you if you would like any information on any procedures or treatments, without prompting. It gets old. Also, don't fall too in love with your esthetician because they don't last long. I would receive regular facials and would always use the same girl until one day she was gone. I started with another, loved her, before I knew it she was gone as well. I was on my fourth esthetician before I stopped going there. When it's constantly different people, that means something. Another thing to note, when I was unhappy with something and spoke up, I didn't feel like they cared one bit. My concerns were not addressed and I finally gave up trying to voice them. Maybe it's because I wasn't one of the "big spenders", even though I had purchased all of her products she recommended and spent a lot of money there over the course of two years. Anyway. This place is overpriced. Do your homework. You can go down the road and see someone with more experience for less. I finally realized that this was not the place for me and stopped going. I have no doubt that Dr Z is an great dermatologist and knows what she's doing but if after every time I go I leave feeling like I've been taken advantage of, then it's time to move on. Treatments I received while going here: Filler, Relaxant, Facials, and IPL (I was recommend 3-5 until I went in for the second one and the esthetician said "You really don't need this.") Yeah, I didn't think I needed it either. Ridiculous.
