Dermapen did nothing, I can say it only made my skin look worse. I did 4 dermapen treatments combined with hyaluronic acid and other serums but my skin looks worse. It resulted with:
- pores are enlarged
- causeed micro tearing
- did nothing to mininize scars.
It is just a great marketing story, nothing else.

Hi had this treatment done myself and I agree with everything you have mentioned. Was wanting to know how is your skin doing now?
I also had the dermapen done and it's left my skin in worse condition than before. I wrote a post on her about it and one Dr. remarked that my face was still swollen. It 100% in NOT swollen. My skin texture has changed it like it lost its elasticity! I'm actually down playing how damaging this was to my face! Why can't I find others who have had this happen? I did my homework prior and found nothing! I will not go back as suggested to me by the office it was done at! No way will i risk further damage. like the other comment, how is your skin now? I wish you the best and I hope if this is common others will write about it. I would just like a answer to why this happened?? improper use? I'm 50 is older skin have to little collagen to reproduce it?
Sry to hear abt your story. But I would jus advice do not do this treatment again! It would be like more damage in the long run. I'm still suffering from the damage.
Thanks Yasimane! My skin seems to have lost it's elasticity. It's hard to explaine. I looked at your profile and it sounds like you are having swelling and heaveyness. I'm going to try retinA to try to improve my skin. I'm not sure what all you are experiencing however I know it's very upsetting to know you tried to improve your skin and it was made worse. I'm very sorry. I will be looking for others in our predicament. In the meantime I'm also taking vitimans to help my skin such as Vit E, C,Zinc. Collegen suplements. Using Topical Vit C retin A Olay regeneriste at night bio-oil in the middle of the day as skin gets dry. These may be to irritating for you if your skin is swollen. I'm sure you've done this but I would google the heck out of topical and internal remides for your symptoms. Best of luck. Please post of your progress. I will too!
One more thing. I remember reading good things about jamacin black castor oil for its healing properties! also look into Alovera.
Thanks for your suggestions and concern. Feels good to get the support. It's depressing but trying to keep up the fight! I will definitely post whatever my skin goes through.
Im 53 and experienced good results . It is getting rid of my marionette lines and my pores are smaller. Maybe it is just the way we heal. Sorry you had difficulties. I know that stress

I'm glad to hear you are having good results and you are close to my age. I was wondering about skin over 50. A lot of people seem to have good results with the derma pen. Unfortunately something must have gone wrong for me. I'm not exactly sure what happened but my guts says the aesthetician went too deep and dragged the pen to cause this damage on my face. I think a deeper layer of my skin was damaged. Do you know what lenghth needle they used on you? What products did they use or recommend you use after? I'm glad it's reducing some of your lines. That's what I had wanted :(

I'm 55 and I just finished my 3rd treatment with very noticeable improvement my skin looks better than it has in many years. It must have something to do with skin or the way the person does the procedure idk but I'm not going to push my luck I think I'll stop at 3.
Did you have it done professionally? I just finished my 3rd treatment and l have good results.
Yes- it was done at a laser spa. By a licensed aesthetician

Hi Jody, I had 1 session a month ago and I am experiencing the same problem. My skin lost it s elasticity, especially on my cheeks. When I smile there a wrinkles on my cheeks now, like tracks. I dont know what to do and am wondering have you found any products that have helped your skin improve. So far nothing has helped to reduce the tracks on my checks. Thank you
