POSTED UNDER Eyelid Surgery REVIEWS
Lower Blepharoplasty with Canthoplast/Canthopexi - Yuba City, CA
ORIGINAL POST
I have always been interested in plastic surgery....
WORTH IT$3,600
i have always been interested in plastic surgery. It seems these days you can change yourself to look like a whole different person if you wanted to. I have had Botox a few times then, started to add Juvederm with it. I was happy until one day I realized none of that helped with my under eye wrinkles , deep tear troughs and bags! It actually made them stand out more when I applied makeup! I looked into fillers for the tear troughs but that would not help my eye bags or wrinkles. I made the decision to have the lower lid blepharoplasty and I am very pleased with the results. The funny thing is, I did not read too many reviews on here about this procedure before I had it done! I was reading more about the mommy makeovers. I want to do that someday if I can afford it, but I have to lose at least 30 pounds or more before my doctor will do it! That's what I thought would be best, so when he said it as well, I knew I could trust he had my best interest at heart and not just looking to make money!
I am thankful I did not read the lower blepharoplasty reviews on here before though, or I may have not gone ahead with it! It appears to be one of the hardest surgeries to do and one that has the most people with unhappy results! As with any surgery we have done, we take a risk, but this one appears to be more so as it can alter the shape of your eye or damage your tissue as some have experienced. I feel for those of you that have had any of those or other horrible experiences with this procedure! I hope you eventually find some resolution that will bring you happiness!
I am happy with my results and have reviewed this procedure as worth it! I am lucky to have had one of the best plastic surgeons in the U S. He is a Board Certified (not that that always makes a difference) Plastic Surgeon, not an Occuplastic Surgeon so I am lucky he has had experience with this procedure! I am only 5 weeks out from the surgery but I am already feeling good that I made the decision to do it. I hope that never changes.
I do have to say that for me this procedure was painful at times, however, I did go back to work after day 5. I still had those stitches from my eyelid up to my forehead in, although they kept trying to come out! Actually one side did come out the day before I went back to work, do I only had the stitch from the eyelid to forehead on one side of my face! I felt like people were going to think I was trying some new piercing trend! I really hated them as they would scratch my eyeball and I would yell and scare everyone! The rest of the stitching was great! Perfect under my eyelids and sides from the skin excision!
In the beginning just after taking out the stitches on 5/27 I had a small Nodule on each side of my eye from the incisions the skin tightening! I would gently rub it everyday with emu oil and bacitracin ointment! The nodules have slowly dissolved and smoothed out. It's funny, I couldn't wait to try on make up after having the procedure, yet I still have not put it on! I guess that is the next step! I will post Well that is all I have time for, for now! If you have any question, please feel free to ask! I may not get back to you right away, but I always come back sooner or later! I love this site and am glad it exists!
