In 2001, I decided to get my augmentation after having three kids and I wanted to rebuild my natural full size that I had before kids. The original doctor, who at the time, I thought did amazing work as she has done my nail ladies augmentation and they looked perfect did not do a good job. I had saline, and after surgery I had a size D and a size C. That do to kept saying wait for my body to settle, which I did. The size never changed. She was a prideful doctor, and did NOT WANT to correct my boobs. It was very obvious the size difference. I paid for the surgery room and anesthesiologist again to the tune of $1600 more and requested the size D boob be added with a small amount and the size C to be made equal to it. Due to my lack of knowledge and my own "vainness" I didn't want to go another six months being lob sided and uneven. You cannot remove saline from the implants (except by full replacement) but you can add to it. So, I thought if I added to it, they both would be swollen and I would be happy with the result as naturally I was a very full C. Well, the doctor, who I had mentioned wasn't happy with "redoing" the surgery filled my breasts to a full DD almost a DDD! I am only five feet tall, these were way too big. On top of that, I went over the muscle (by her suggestion) and her second pocket on the right side was not correctly"fluffed" from the inside tissue out as she exited, and therefore leaving me with a huge "dent" on my right side. They were terrible!!! Dr Margaret Skiles from Yuba City, CA, did an amazingly poor job for me. When I tried to address my issues with being unhappy with the results, she simply stated that I signed a "waiver" and there could be nothing more she would do for me. Horrible, horrible experience. I was young and intimidated by her, so I let it go.
There is another part that I had forgotten until just now. A standard of professionalism comes with removing your clothes before the doctor arrives in the room. This doctor, had me undress right in front of her. I am not modest by any means, but this made me even feel uncomforatable.

I am sorry about your experience. I do know that naturally we all have one side bigger than the other. I have DDD and love them. She placed them perfectly. I get so many looks and compliments. I am glad to hear that you had yours fixed. I do know that I am very self conscious about my body. I show everyone mine. I had the silicone put in which were more expensive and they are firm and have never dropped which I love. I had her place mine apart and told her I would not be happy if they touched. I did not want a butt on my chest. I told her exactly what I expected them to look like and showed her pictures. She assured me that everyone is different and the shape of you chest bone matters to how they will lay. I am glad to hear you have them the way you want them now.

She also asked me what size I was wanting and had me try on sizers. So essentially I picked my own size. She also recommends but the last decision is of my own on size.

Dr Skiles is a butcher. I had a similar experience, and she would not acknowledge her botched work, which sent me to the ER in Sacramento and since 7 more surgeries to reconstruct my left breast. I am still deformed. Despite for one year after the surgery which was lopsided and massively oversized, I told her i hurt, showed her the redness over and over again, she pushed me right through the statute of limitations period by telling me it was just normal...... She cost me $100 grand since. HORRIBLE doctor! Subsequently i found at least 3 lawsuits against her! Wish that RealSelf existed back in 2001!!!!
