I love my new look! I am so happy with how they turned out. I used to wear a 34b bra but that was even perhaps too big. I am one month post op and now wearing a 36c. I am a runner so I didnt want to go too big. I am 5'2" and 125lbs with no kids.
When I awoke from surgery I recall feeling pain only in my right breast. The anesthesiologist seemed to think this was odd considering all the meds my body had in it. It looked a little big to me but I thought maybe it was just normal swelling. I got more pain meds and then was released to go home. When I got home my right breast was really hurting me so I decided to try and change to a looser bra. When i took the bra and patch of gauze off my right breast, blood began to run down my stomach from my incision. Also without the bra i noticed it seemed noticably bigger than my left which was not bleeding. I immediately called my surgeon who had me come to her office right away. After attempting to drain my hematoma in my right breast by hand through the incision for about 20 minutes, we noticed that it filled back up immediately and I even had swelling above my breast at this point. She said I needed to go back under right away to drain the hematoma. I went back to the surgical hospital where everyone was very nice and I got a lot of "sorry"...but I dont really think it was anyone's fault. Sometimes these things just happen. I went back under with no issues and it was drained, I was later told it was 200-300 cc's of blood and clotting removed. (i cant remember which now). Afterward the bruising was horrendous! But now its been about 4 weeks and almost all of the bruising is gone. The right breast is healing a little slower in my opinion due to the complications but they both look really good.
I am very impressed with how my surgeon handled this crappy and unusual occurrence. She made me feel calm and confident about her abilities and the procedure throughout both operations. I would highly recommend her to anyone, despite my complications. I'd rather have someone who has proven they can handle themselves in an unfortunate situation and always put their patient first, than someone who tries to guarantee these things cant really happen and is unpredictable when they do.
