Feeling better, still very swollen!

tryforbaby2
$7,185
I have my first preop appointment tomorrow. I'm wondering what we will discuss.
I'm thinking I'm a pretty good patient, doing everything I'm told, even with loads of swelling, I'm hoping for a great update :-)
Tomorrow will be 8 days without a bm. I've been taking stool softeners since a few days before the procedure and I'm hoping to go soon!
I'm looking forward to being able to lay on my sides a little as it will take slit of pain off my extended assbone!

Yikes! Eight days with no bowl movement....that sounds just miserable. I am having 2-3 BMs a day, but maybe it's because I am taking 3 co lace per day, lots of buffered vitamin c , and primarily protein nutrabullets for my meals. Do you have a nutrabullet or vitamix? You just blend a bunch of fiberous spinach, celery, parsley, almonds,'raw pumpkin seeds, wholemwhipping cream, and some protein powder and viola!!!! Drink that three times a day and you will heal so fast from all those nutrients AND be a poop'n machine!:) good luck!

Could you just use a regular Kitchen Aid blender??? I make my protein smoothies with it...wondering how the nutrabullet is different and if I should look into one.

The nutrabullet really grinds everything up to itty bitty pulp that is easily digested. I really love mine and use it every day. It's been especially useful since this surgery because I can super finer enhance my protein shakes every morning. I feelnso badthat you haven't been able to have a bowel movement yet :(. Have you tried stool softeners three time a day? Magnesium?

Hooray in the bowel movement today! I can't imagine after eight days that was very easy and you :(. Definitely consider increasing the stool softeners to three times a day. I take mine breakfast, lunch, and dinner.that way I don't forget. Since you don't have much of an appetite since your surgery… A Neutra bullet is perfect for you! You can pack a whole lot of nutrition and protein in One swoop! Glad you're feeling better! Keep posting, as I look forward to seeing how you're doing.

I found that every day got better from post op. I am over 7 wks po now. There were a few days where I felt I took 2 steps backwards...but it was my body probably reminding me that I had major surgery and to rest and heal. Then a few days later I took 3 steps forward. In those early weeks you think you may never be able to do certain things like you use to sleep well, on your side, twist, walk faster than a 65 yr old woman or even stand straight. It comes...gradually. Be patient. You made that big step of having the surgery done. Now celebrate the healing!

Day 4 post op with a man package!!

tryforbaby2
Day 4 post op and I'm feeling pretty good. I had my second shower today and I even felt good enough to blow dry my hair and style it and paint my nails! I am pretty swollen from my waist to my lady parts and I took off the binder and started wearing my compression garment that I ordered from Marena group.
They still have quite a bit of stretch marks, but to me it doesn't really matter I'm still happy. I'm looking forward to no bulges in my jeans and no saggy overhanging skin over my underwear. I still plan on wearing a bikini, stretch marks and all this summer. :-)

Could share a pic of you in your compression garment? Mine is adorable but not very comfy. They gave me two others but I just can't seem to get them on with out bunching. I wish I could just wear something that slides on smooth. But then again...my awesome drain is sticking straight out of my pubes like a unicorn horn :0

My ps is putting me in a Marena cg after surgery...it comes up under the boobs and comes down almost like boyshorts. It zips on the side...is this what you ordered? If so, how do you like it? I'm glad I stumbled across your review (it showed up in my newsletter lol) so I can follow you. My surgery is April 6. Happy healing!

Mine is the same garment only it ends like underwear and clips at the crotch, which is very helpful during this time! My ps original wanted me to get one with the attached bra so it was more comfortable but when I went to order it, it only went to a c cup so it was a no go. If you have a crotch opening AND it goes like boy shorts, I thik that'll be even more comfortable yet. I have nice big thighs so this style I have is pretty tight there. I had to order an XL solely based on my thighs!

yes it clips at the crotch, how is that getting undone by yourself? I read that the ones with the straps (but no bra) are better as it keeps the garment from rolling down. I contemplated ordering one like that after I see what size they put me in to have a second one. But, idk....they gave me a code to use to get a discount so if it's cheap enough I may! Do you wear a tank or anything under it to keep it from bothering your incision? Thanks for all the info!!
March 29, 2015
Mine doesn't roll down on me surprisingly! I don't wear anything under it but fresh gauze applied to my incision, bb and drain site. I have my husband put it on after my shower In the morning and I keep it on 24/7 until it's shower time again. It's too tight to wear anything underneath I think. The garment is meant to help flatten out and even out your tummy and sides and I think putting something under it could possibly compromise the outcome. I didn't even get a discount code for my garment. It was about $100 per garment shipped. If you're order is over $150 it ships free I think. Then I ordered the wrong size and had to pay for another one and pay to ship it back and I'm waiting for the credit for the one.

I'm so glad to have found someone that has the same one as I will wear! Please keep me updated as to how it's going for you :) (I just saw the pic of the garment you posted, I don't know how I missed that lol and yep, looks like same one!)
