4 months post op and feeling great. I'm back in the gym and loving every minute of it. Im alternating between walking and running. Im working mostly on legs and glutes. I can do some ab work but much. The incision is healing nicely. Overall I'm extremely happy. If I had to do it all over again I would.

Happy New Year everyone. I am 8 weeks postop from a Full TT with MR and Lipo of the upper abdomen today. I went to the gym yesterday for the first time and I feel good. I alternated between walking and jogging for 40 minutes and did 40 squats before I left. I didn't have time to stretch before I left as I was on my lunch break but did stretch when I got home again this morning before I climbed out of bed. I have a little soreness by my belly button and my legs are feeling the squats. Did I mention I hate squats lol. The incision is healing nicely. It still hurts to sneeze. I have this new body and I have to do everything to take care of it.

Having a TT is not an excuse not to exercise its the incentive too start. I have an acquaintance that had her TT and did not follow through with her diet and exercise plan and has put on some weight. She's very upset because she feels she wasted her money because she looks bloated and has gain weight in other areas. Dieting doesn't mean you have to give up all the foods you love. Dieting is eating in moderation, controlling the amount of you eat will make a huge difference. Giving up bread has made a huge difference in my life. Whether its white, grain, wheat or rye I won't touch it and that bagels included. There is a huge misconception that grain it better. Bread is bread in my eyes and it you have an allergy to wheat protein then its even a better reason to give it up. Thirty minutes of non-stop movement will jump start you to fitness.

Congratulations to all on their new bodies and their fitness success.

I had my last post op appointment with Dr. Joshua...

I had my last post op appointment with Dr. Joshua Rubenstein last night. It was a bitter sweet moment for me. This man gave me back the body I had 23 years ago. I had full TT with muscle repair and lipo of the upper abdomen. He was very impressed with how my scar is healing and told me to continue doing my scar therapy. His exact words were "Wow" that looks real good. All I've been using is Merderma Gel in the morning and Vitamin E (capsule) in the evening. Once my tube of Merderma runs out I will not be purchasing anymore. I will tell you why....a few years ago my son took a fall to the head. When I arrived on the scene the EMT had his head completely bandaged and wouldn't let me see the damage. I told him he's my son and I need to see. It literally looked as though someone took a melon ball scoop and carved out the middle of his forehead. By the grace of God a plastic surgeon was at the hospital killing time before he was needed in the OR. He put my son back together again and told me that when the scar heals to start putting Vitamin E on the scar but to rub it in deep and keep him out of the sun. He then took my arm and showed me the amount of pressure I needed to apply. My son has no scar today not even a little one. The surgeon did a great stitch up job and the Vitamin E did the rest. I figured I would apply the same amount of pressure on my scar and see what my scar will look like 6 months. I've seen some other post that say Vitamin E really does nothing but my son is living proof that it does. Everyone has their own scar therapy. I say do what works for you. At my 2 month mark I will post a picture of my scar. As you can see from my 6 week photo I have stains from where I bruised. This is nothing new for me. I bruise very easily and the stains stay with me for a very long time.
