Yag Laser Under Eyes

I had a fat graft with yag laser under my eyes in July of 2019. At a follow up appt December 10 the dr recommended a follow up laser targeting both blue veins and broken capillaries. He mentioned I would be a little swollen for a few days and since that was my experience the first time I agreed. Immediately after my under eye area looked much different that the last time. Extremely swollen and red with bruising. Well it’s been almost a week and I have small open wounds and an uneven texture and redness where he did the laser. I’m devastated bc my eyes weren’t bad before and now I fear I will have scarring and permanent damage. I’m calling his office on Monday but I have no trust in him at the point. Will update in a week or so.

OMG, I am going next week for my under eye veins. Should I expect this blistering? I didn't think it would be this bad. They are warning me I will blister. It looks like yours went away. Should I go forward with this. I have big blue lightening bolts under my eyes and temples. He can only promise a 50% result of improvement with this YAG Laser.

I'm an outsider, laser tech 30 plus years, I'm not a doctor. You will do fine its been a week not unusual. Doctor more then likely turned up the Yag a bit.. truth be told you will look superb soon. Be patient and wait on the healing. for recommendations keep burn cream on skin around eye area, Buy from the 99 cent store on open areas and ice them at night. sleep elevated. you will be fine and look great !

Hi sorry haven’t been on in a while! So yes everything did end up healing fine. I’m still unhappy with the doctor bc he told me there would be no downtime and I missed a few Christmas parties bc I looked like a freak. Also I still have some red spider veins which I think were caused by the laser but I’m leaving well enough alone. I actually want to a different dr today and had cheek fillet bc I was still unhappy with my eye area. I’ll update more on that later but so far so good!

Healed fine. Still not happy

So I can say that the fat graft was totally not worth it. Expensive, painful and was not satisfied with the results. I do think the laser helped with veins/hyper pigmentation however I don’t know if I would do it again given the downtime it required. Here’s an updated photo with fresh chem filler (radiesse). Still far from perfect but better than before. You can see the broken capillaries in the photo.

At the end of the day, just not worth it then?
