BEEN IN HOSPITAL AGAIN

Hi All,

Well, for the past two weekends and more I have been in the hospital. Inner, outer thigh lift, skin removed from my butt, on Aug 29, 13. When This Fri came around yesterday, I was thinking, Ol no this is Fri, the past two I have been put in the hospital. I was going for a check up yesterday and the area on my hip still hurting. The PS did remove my last drain and gave me to wear a compress garment to help the swelling and pain in my buttocks.

One hospital visit I had to have 2 units of blood, last Friday infection from surgery, Stayed Fri to Tues had another surgery for the infection and fluid build up. Still on antibiotics.

I know I should be thankful which I am, but still very depressed. It will be a month tomorrow Sept. 29th since surgery, about 1/2 of that time in the hospital. I knew from the beginning there could be problems from this surgery, just was not prepare for what was to come, I guess none of us are. I felt like I did everything I was suppose to do to take care of myself. I might be having a pity party but I just want to get well again,

My daughter, husband and grandkids were in from Ga, while I was in the hospital, I told them they did not have to come and see me because it was 2 1/2 hrs away. I only got to spent a couple days with them out of almost a week. My daughter has fight me on every surgery I have had and we had odds with this, so I just thought I didn't need any negative around me, as much as I love her.

Well, tomorrow is another day hopefully a brighter day.

God Bless,

Evie

19 days PO

Wow, I really feel good today. I have done all kinds of things that I haven't done since surgery. I just don't want to over do it. I tend to do that even before surgery. Just can not believe it. Getting up with out feeling like I am going to pass out is wonderful. Everyone have a Blessed Day.

18 DAY PO. HAD TO HAVE BLOOD!

Hi All,

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Last Thursday I really started pouring what look like blood to me from the crease of my butt were the Dr had to add more stitches over a week ago. It was around 5:00 pm. My daughter called my neighbor and she came over and stopped the bleeding. About 12:30 am it started pouring and did not want to bother any one at that hr I packed gauze back in the area and had a bed pad under me and went back to sleep thinking I would call my husband before he got to work. I called him and told him my problem and told him I felt like he needed to come home and take me to my PS, my daughter was going to take me, she is so scared of seeing blood and needles. My husband was about 1 1/2 hrs. away from home. After I talked to my husband I went to get up out of bed and the pad was soaked and the gauze also. To make a long story short.

My husband too me to the PS. Got one drain out. I was bleeding from the site when I got up off the PS table. The girl ask me if I brought more clothes with me, my pants had a lot of drainage on them, I had on the pull ups and bandaged when I went to the Dr so never thought I would need more. The PS ask me if it was old blood. Man to me blood is blood. He told me it was like a pocket of fluid and blood building up, and draining throw were I had been stitched. He sent me to the hospital for blood work. My blood work came back higher than the last time I had it taken, I did not know this but if you are dehydrated your labs will give you a false reading. ok, I was admitted into the hospital, on Fri, for being dehydrated thinking " yea" I do not have to have any blood transfuses. The hospital gave me a wheel chair with pads while I was I doing all this, when I got to my hospital room, my pads was in bad shape.

They gave me IV'S all night and checked my blood. I was 2 units low. I had my first unit and was ok until the very end of the first unit then I got so sick I just laid with a wet towel over my eyes for about 2 hrs. or more while I taking the 2nd unit. My blood is up to 11 now.

I got to come home yesterday, orders to get a lot of iron in and fluids. There were a few things I learned from this and maybe it will give a little bit for someone else.

I am weak but hopefully on the road to recovery, still draining some. Still need your prayers and thoughts, sorry this is so long.

God Bless

Evie

Dr. Miller was recommended by a friend. She had pic's of her surgeries he preformed on her. The first time I met Dr Miller I thought very highly of him. He treated with respect when examining me, I was covered, except for what he was checking me for. Dr Miller did a TT and Around the word on Dec, 2012. I was more than pleased, did a wonderful job. Aug, 29, 2014 he did a inner and outer thighs, skin removal from my butt. Today is Sept 16, 2014 been 18 days since surgery. I have had problems but we knew this could happen before surgery. As far as the surgery, so far it looks good.
