Thermitight Nightmare! - Worcester, MA

I was promised that the appearance of my neck...

I was promised that the appearance of my neck could be fixed (after thyroid removal destroyed the appearance of my neck) using thermitight. Well, the procedure didn't work and the doctor even did it twice. The second time, the probe was so hot, that my outer skin was burned and had blisters. Needless to say, I have scars all over my face. Not only from the blisters but I also developed an infection, under my skin and my whole face had pustules all over it. The thermitight made my skin even more lax, than it was prior to the procedure and I look ninety years old. I'm so depressed and don't even want to leave the house, as I look a fright! Don't do it, if you are considering it.....just my personal experience and my opinion

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I also had a burn that also was infected from Thermitight and understand just how painful and scarring that kind of burn can be. I'm still healing.

Yes, I too got an infection under the skin. Is that from unsanitary equipment, or what? Can't be because we didn't TCB, cuz the procedure wasn't very invasive...just a needle hole and how could that get infected, under my chin and jawline

So many people on here burned and scarred from this. Glad you are still healing though. Maybe yours will resolve but still, if burning results something went wrong. Good luck.

So sorry this happened to you too. It's now March of 2017 and I still have more sag under my chin, that wasn't there before the procedure. the skin was overstretched by the repeated swelling and repeated procedures. i have lots of small scars from the blisters/infection. too.

My heart does go out to you. Didn't the doctor offer any adjustment or compensatory action? You really should share the name of this doctor to caution others. You might strongly consider adding your name and incident details to a class action suit for this type of procedure, ultherapy, rf, thermitight, etc. this would cost you nothing out of pocket, and the more names and data are collected the more legit the case becomes. There is an attorney in florida who handles this
Were it me, I would not roll over...these uniformed and callous doctors need to be stopped before they damage more lives

So sorry for your experience. Thanks for sharing.

So sorry your experience was so bad, I can't imagine looking forward to how great you will look and ending up not wanting to leave the house.
I too had thermitight and was also burned. It healed but there is a scar about the size of a dime on my neck. Ladies beware with this procedure, there was no mention of possible scarring.

Yea and no down time either. I had to take weeks off of work, due to all the swelling, burns and blistering.

Wasn't the scarring mentioned on your consent form?! It seems there should be no scarring if done properly, however it;s still early in the life of this procedure. The more something is done, the more bad things come of it but the bad should be rare. That's not the case with the posters on this thread. Concerning. Hope your problems with this resolve.

Sorry to hear about your experience too. I have scars from all the blisters and I look afright. Still have sagging skin under my chin that was all stretched out from the swelling and now looks wrinkly . It makes me look older than I looked before the procedure. I don't know how to fix it and have no money for a lawyer

Not only did it not tighten my neck, Thermitight caused laxity in my jowls and I look like i'm ninety, instead of 58. I didn't look like these pictures, before the thermitight

Wow, I am so sorry! In my opinion this procedure is a temporary fix for those with extra fat in their face and chin at best. My neck is much worse than before I did the Thermitight and now I am consulting for a midface lift.

Take care, give yourself some time to heal then explore the facelift options.

posh, now I've lost count of the unhappy patients with this procedure. But midface lift I don't see applying to the area of the jawline. Good luck.

MY ENTIRE CHEEKS ARE SAGGING AND WRINKLY FROM ALL THE STRETCHING OF MY SKIN, NOT ONLY FROM THE PROCEDURE ITSELF BUT FROM HAVING IT DONE TWICE AND FROM ALL THE SWELLING CAUSED TOO. I LOOK A MESS AND WISH I HAD NEVER GOTTEN THERMITIGHT

It looks like you actually have fat loss under your chin from the RF, leaving behind loose skin. The RF failed to tighten the skin over the fat.
