I had VSG in Nov. Of 2012 and lost 80 lbs. I have always been considered overweight or obese so after working out w a trainer and nutritionist 6 days a week and losing 22 inches in 6 weeks I knew i needed the extra skin removed. What kicked off the whole process was needing a hysterectomy. I figured while i was already under for that i would get the TT. I saw a lot of reviews for Dr. Gill here in The Woodlands and liked that he was double board certified. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I paid in full that day.

Wow what a transformation! You look great! How are you feeling being 4 days out?
Yesterday, (day 5) was rough! I tried to stop pain meds and that was a bad idea. I did get up today and walk around the house w a walker, and that felt good.
How are you doing?
You look wonderful, what a nice transformation.  Also congratulations on the weight loss, this is fantastic.   Once you are cleared to return to workouts keep up the good work.
Thank you Kimmers25, I can't wait!!!
Well you made it out of the dreaded 3 days! I heard that's the worse. Hope your feeling better today.
And your are flat flat flat!!! Girl it's all gonna be worth it when you don't have to hide your mid section no more! Can't wait for mine to be gone.
Thank u so much!!!

:)

Hey dear, How are you feeling... I went back to work yesterday and it was awful but I survived... Today was better now I'm glad I'm off until Monday. Each week gets a little better... breathing will gradually improve... I'm still really swollen and tight especially after 3pm at work. I know your emotions are all over the place and next week your emotion roller coaster will be more intense but but by the time you're 2.5 weeks po the light will seem a bit brighter...
I am so sorry to hear that!! How many days PO are you again?? I'm really nervous to go back to work at 16 days PO. I am taking a pain pill in the morning and one in evening. Do you still have to t ake them?
Htownsexymom When you say breathing will gradually get better. Is it hard to breath. Or does it hurt?
I don't have to take pain pills at all.... I am a nurse and I triage every patient that comes to the clinic in my office and walk to get them.... take them to the lab...and dispense medications to them... so I get up and down a lot.... I went back to work at 21 days post op.... It just so happens that we saw extra patients because of scheduling issues.... So the clinic was really busy.... My co-workers tried to help me but it was just too busy..... I was sore all over at the end of the day... I was so tired and achy... but didn't need medicine.... just rest.... I came home... ate...showered.... went to sleep.... My second day was a lot better but around 3 oclock I was tired and my back was hurting.
@Akds...... initially when you swell up.... it will be harder to inhale/exhale like you normally would because the muscle repair creates less room and the rebound swelling makes you feel really tight..... and if you eat too much in one sitting or eat something really salty, you will swell up.... For me I swell easily but it will get better each week!
Thank you. I've been really worried of that part of it. You explained it very well.
You look great... It's like we're vanilla and chocolate twins!!!
Hi Akds!! I am 10 days po and better but still have drains in until Friday. I am down to a pain pill just in the evening.
That's good your down to one pill. How are you sleeping? What day post op do you return to work?
