Dr Kim performed breast reduction surgery on me on...
Dr Kim performed breast reduction surgery on me on July 22, 2016. Immediately following the Seesurgery, I began to experience complications. I was in the ER the very next night following my surgery due to bleeding, and discharge from my left breast. By Wednesday, the drain in my left breast came out. I called Dr. Kim, and a nurse in her office removed what was left of the sutures which were holding in the drain. I continued to get worse. By Friday, one week post op, my fever got up to 105. My husband rushed me to the Chi St. Luke's ER. I had developed sepsis due to a severe infection in my left breast. The ER doctor called Dr. Kim to notify her of my critical condition, but she just said that she would see me the next day. I had just seen Dr. Kim that day! She removed the drain from my right breast even though she said it was not ready to come out. She sent me home with oral antibiotics and told me, "Everything will be fine." After being stabilized at St. Luke's ER, I was sent back to the ER at Memorial Hermann, The Woodlands where the original surgery had been performed. Dr. Kim did come to see me the next day, during which time she refused to believe that I had developed sepsis. In short, she refused to take responsibility for what had happened to me. I was in the hospital for one month with a deadly infection, my kidneys shut down, and I was placed on dialysis. After I was released from the hospital, I had to do one month of daily antibiotic infusions plus wound care from an abscess which had developed in my left breast. Today is October 6, 2016, and I am still doing wound care on my left breast. I got well due to the care of an excellent team of doctors, including an outstanding new plastic surgeon. Dr. Kim addressed non of my medical problems. All she could say was, "You will be fine." She never did take take responsibility for what happened to me. I am writing this review to let others know not to choose Dr. Kim as a potential plastic surgeon. If you develop serious complications after your surgery, she will not take responsibility, and basically, you are on your own. Please do not be taken in by Dr. Kim and her staff's charm as I was. It almost cost me my life. Again, run, don't walk from this doctor.
