Miserable!! One year post op and my left breast settled too far over and is causing pain. They are just too big! My scars have become hypertrophic and I have had two laser treatments and painful cortisone shots. They still look awful so I am super self conscious. Don't do it!! I did feel a little put off by my doctor once the surgery was over so that was disappointing. My gyn was upset my scars were allowed to get so bad. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do.

I know its hard to see since you see yourself every day, but I think they look beautiful and round and full! The scars will fade and there are new laser treatments for scars every day.

Thanks!

Oh my I am so sorry. How recommended lasers and cortisone? Maybe you can go on some consultations and they can surgically improve your scars- hang in there!

I've had two laser treatments and cortizon shots. I'll get a couple more before moving into surgery option.

I have hypertrophic scars as well from my breast lift (with implants) surgery. The scars are not the fault of your doctor, they are from overproduction of collagen in your body. Everyone heals differently. I wold still take my beautiful firm lifted breasts with my scars over my old saggy breast's any day!

It's been a long time! I just had my three month check up. Dr. Gill said everything looks great. I need to keep massaging my breast and my scars. The scars underneath are thicker and a part of my right inside scar is irritated. He said I should order some silicon strips so I did. Hopefully that helps the scar. I'm much happier with them and they actually feel normal and part of me now. Two months ago, I thought I would never feel normal again. It's not for the faint of heart. I couldn't have done it without a very patient and understanding husband. I cried a lot the first 6 weeks. I am happy that is did it. They don't look completely symmetrical but my original boobs (v 1) didn't either. They feel nice and squishy. I have great cleavage now that they have separated. I still have no feeling in my left nipple, but I'm not too concerned. I had something similar happen in another surgery and feeling eventually came back. I wear a sleep bra or sports bra almost all day (even when sleeping) which I'm used to and feel weird without one. Overall the lift and implants are a thumbs up.
Now onto lipo....I seriously regret it. It's lumpy and bumpy. I have to massage it all of the time to try to get it to flatten out. It's still sensitive and even painful if I stretch too far. It feels like my stomach muscles are on fire. Save your money and hire a personal trainer! Lol

Your boobs look great.
I'm not sure why but I got real depressed after my TT. So I know what you mean about your emotions.
Have you tried using a rolling pin on your lipo areas? I know it's hard because lipo was the most painful part of my recovery.
What bra size were you before your surgery, and what size are you now?

Thank you! I think we didn't realize what all it entailed both physically and emotionally. I have tried a rolling pin. I tell my husband if anyone snoops through our drawers and find a rolling pin they are going to thinks we are freaks! I also bought a small massager and that makes it much easier.
I was a 34 c. A full c but very droopy. I had to hoist those sad things in my bra every time. Sports bras and bathing suits always looked terrible. Now I'm a 34 DD or 34 DDD. They're a little bigger than I wanted but everyone said go bigger than what you think. I still love them.

Lol, I have to hoist mine in my bras too. I'm a 34DD and I need s lift but I don't want them any bigger. So no implants for me...

My BL/BA incisions got more angrier looking with the silicone strips so I discontinued their use. I even would take them off in the shower as another member said using soap and water would be easier on my scars. I just eventually used bio-oil and cocoa butter w/vit e.

I had me three week checkup this week. Dr. Gill said everything looks great and my implants are close due to my narrow rib cage and it being early in my healing. His medical coordinator, Melissa, ordered a thong type bra that will help push them apart. He said it would happen on its own, but knew with my OCD personality I needed one to feel better. He also took my tape off. When I got home I looked at the incisions and they already have healed so much! I can hardly see the ones around my nipples and the vertical incision. I was very happy bout that. Every day I'm feeling better physically. They softened up about a week ago and are dropping little by little. He assured me it's a marathon, not a dash. I guess I wasn't prepared for the emotional aspect of surgery. It's been emotional at times. I'm thankful for my very supportive husband. He always makes me feel at peace. I'm still very happy with Dr. Gill. He really is skilled. My liposuction is still lumpy which I read is normal. I've been massaging my breasts and lipo areas three times a day and using scar cream that I bought from Gills office. I also massage my abs and flanks with coconut oil. I'm obsessed with it. I do feel like my life is centered around this right now and just want to get back to regular life. One day at a time!

Ps I am taking make me heal post op vitamins. I started them after two weeks.
