4 days post explant and lift

Just wanted to make a couple of observations. First of all, I am really surprised at how good I feel. I am no longer taking the prescription pain meds and have only taken one Extra Strength Tylenol this morning. My PS did not insert drains, and I do have a little bit of fluid that has built up under each breast. At my first post op appointment yesterday, my PS encouraged me to keep icing that area. If the fluid is still there at my appointment next Wednesday, she will drain the fluid. I have also noticed that my right breast is somewhat larger than my left. My PS said that is normal, and to be patient. I have all of the tape removed except for the steri-strips that surround the incisions. It felt soooooo good when she removed the tape as I was going crazy from all the itching. Before the explant, I was wearing a 36D, and now I am a small 34C or full 34B. Either way, I love how I feel. My breasts no longer feel so heavy and uncomfortable. Right after surgery, my breasts felt quite firm, but they are really starting to soften up and feel squishy again. I am so happy to finally be all naturelle!

Day after

Good morning! I am feeling better than I expected today. I came home all taped and bandaged up and in a post operative bra. I do not have drains - dr. said she would make the decision about whether to use drains or not in the surgery room. I feel quite sore - especially when I try to lift myself out of bed or from a sitting position, but my pain meds seem to be handling the pain well. I am so happy to finally have the implants out. My surgery started at 12:15 and I was home by 4:00. The drugs were amazing as I do not remember being wheeled into the surgery room, the recovery room, or my ride home. When I got home, my husband escorted me to a chair, and I slept in it until 8:30 last night when he woke me up to take my meds. I am sore, but feeling lighter and grateful to have the surgery behind me. My pain meds are easily handling the pain, and I hope to switch to Advil after Day 3.

Today is the day I have been anticipating for a long time. I am having my 23 year old above-the-muscle saline implants removed today, followed by a lift. I have not had any problems with my 350 cc implants, but after reading all the posts about the dangers of implants and after seeing my girlfriend battle breast cancer, I decided it was time to get these implants removed. I have gained about 20 lbs. since I had them put in, and I just don't like the way they look or feel any more. They feel so heavy, and I think they make me look very matronly. I am having the lollipop lift after removal. Surgery is at 12:15 today and scheduled for 2 1/2 hours. Can't wait to be on the other side and looking forward to eventually being able to sleep on my stomach. So for the only negative about today is not being able to have my coffee!! I will update again as soon as I can! (PS - surgery is today - May 17th - but site won't give me that option.)
