Revision Update

Last Monday (6 days ago) I had my revision. On the right eye, a little more skin was removed and he did two more cholesterol removals on each eye near the nose. So far the recovery has been uneventful. At the same time I did this I had some post-tummy tuck upper ab liposuction and most of the recovery has been related to that (which was a bit more painful than I expected). I had a lot of bruising particularly with the right eye. I am posting pics of the day after surgery and today . One thing not on either set of pics is that on my right cheek I had a huge bruise for a few days and a lot of swelling but it has mostly faded now. I still have bruising but it is OK. I am getting the stitches out on Tuesday.

While I can't tell a whole lot at this point I think that from what I can see so far the right eye is improved. I was happy with it overall but felt it still had some droopy skin. This revision seems to have taken care of that. Of course, I have to wait and see how it heals but it looks good so far.

Scheduled my revision

Went ahead and scheduled my revision for May 22. I will have a little more skin removed on the upper right eye and will have one more cholesterol deposit on my left eye removed. I will be doing some upper abdomen liposuction at the same time.

Almost one year

I am just shy of one year since my surgery and had a follow up appointment today. Overall, I am still very happy with my surgery. I took some pics a few days ago and they they are good at showing where I am currently. I also attach a comparison with a pic taken a year ago and the differences are obvious.

During the last several months, I have been undergoing a series of Resurfx laser treatments and IPL to improve my skin. I do think this has been effective. The effects are fairly subtle but I can see that my skin tone is more even. I often find myself skipping foundation and just wearing some light tinted moisturizer. I have one more of those treatments to go.

I also recently had Botox redone. Last fall I also had Juvaderm done on the lines in my face and that has held up well.

I am going to have a small revision to my right eyelid. I have a bit more skin on outer upper part of the eye. I've noticed this a long time ago and I was basically watching to see if it improved. A lot of little things I was concerned about early on did resolve on their own. But, this one hasn't. I have a pic attached showing that.

Dr. Lyos said it would be an easy revision to do so I plan to do that. I also had a tummy tuck/breast lift last summer and I may do some upper abdominal liposuction. If I do, I will do the eyelid revision at the same time.

I am still overall very happy with the results. When I see the comparison to a year ago...well, there is no comparison.
