How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If I was going to spend all this hard-earned money...

If I was going to spend all this hard-earned money and go through recovery time with my family, I wanted near-perfection results. As an individual who has high expectations of herself and others around me, I wanted it done right the first time. As an RN, I went in with high expectations but also a very realistic mindset.

I LOVE the results of my TT, better than I had expected! No regrets. And I don't write this review lightly. I waited over a year to write this thing!

Lucky for me, I had no complications at all. As a nurse, I can say that I had perfect healing. It's been a yr and half, my scar is very light now and perfectly smooth. Don't get me wrong, the 3-week recovery period was rough but that's because I don't like pain pills. Nights are rougher compared to days. What got me through it was thinking -- "No pain, no gain. Not long now. In a month you'll be sooo happy you went through this!" Hubby took 2 wks off to care for me. Ladies, u'll need support from someone for a good week.

Words of advice, have realistic expectations of your body and procedure. Have someone caring be with you for a good week. Take your pain pills on time. Take your stool softeners religiously so that you won't be uncomfortable when you need to move your bowels. Drink plenty of fluids. On suppositories on hand just in case. Rest, rest, rest. But get up and walk everyday. Shower every day, get a stool to sit on in the tub and take your time (it was great to feel the warm water and relax!). If you can get a hand-held showerhead installed beforehand, please do it! You're back will feel stiff and painful after having to sleep on it for a week. As soon as you are comfy enough to do so, get on all fours and stretch and massage your back often. Warm packs help too.

My final results are phenomenal. No regrets. Very happy with how my clothes fit me now. Wearing that two-piece and cute skinny jeans. I'm a 5 foot petite little thing that gave birth to two ginormous 8 and half pound babies by c-section and went from 105 pounds to 130 pounds by the end of it all, with a "5-month eternally pregnant belly" appearance. My little body was never going to be the same again no matter how much weight I lost or how many crunches I did. My daughter was 4 yrs old when I decided to do this TT. I have never had one second of regret.

At time of surgery, I was sz 6-8 pants with a muffin top (Keep in mind I'm only 5' tall). After surgery, I went down to a (no muffin!) sz 2 in pants, where I am perfectly happy as it matches the rest of my body now. Dr. Hoffman get some great sculpting of my flanks so I have a lovely curvy shape to go with my flat tummy. My weight went from 130# to a currently 116# - but with watching my diet intake and remembering how much money I invested in this tummy tuck (I'm not the best with the exercise thing - bet my results would be much better if I gave more effort!).

So there you have it! Love my results! Good luck with your own journey! (Will try to post pix later when I have more time).

Dr. Hoffman's staff is very professional, kind, and supportive. I had a wonderful connection with them. Dr. Hoffman takes his time in his consultations, answering every question you may have. He took his time in completing my TT in the operating room as well, because it was important for him to it done right, and because he knew I had very high expectations. I did extensive research before going in for any consultation. I interviewed three top twin cities surgeons and I chose Dr. Hoffman. Why? 1) Because after viewing all the before and after pictures of all the surgeons' works, his results were clearly phenomenal in comparison. 2) He charges for an initial consultation BUT that's because he gives you plenty of time to talk, view pix, ask questions, and his nurse comes and explains the procedure thoroughly to you. The other surgeons walked in and out and gave you a sheet of paper telling you how much it costs. 3) Dr. Hoffman WANTS and CARES that you get the best results. I believed that he was invested in serving me the best he can and he knows that his reputation as a top surgeon depended on MY experience and results. I have since referred him to multiple nurse-friends who were serious about undergoing plastic surgery.
