I made a appointment to see a ps on May 7th. I have made appointments several times over the years and cancelled. I'm 5'5 and weigh 160. I'm afraid he will tell me I am not a candidate. I've got the apple shape and my arms and legs are small.
Was anyone nervous about going to the ps the first time? Any advice? I've been reading all the success stories and find them very motivating. I work in an office how much time will I need to be out?

I'm having a TT with Lipo and Lipo on my thighs & knees in June. I went to my PS in February for a consultation. I was also worried I wouldn't be a candidate. I'm 57, 195 lbs and 5'2". I'm carrying most of the weight in my stomach area. My arms are normal size. I have a lot of cellulite on my thighs & knees which make it hard to walk. My calves are normal size though. My PS put me at ease right away. He examined me with my underwear on. I've worn granny panties for many many years to help hide my protruding stomach. I was so humiliated when the PS pulled down my panties to just above my mons area to evaluate me. I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die! My stomach just hung over my panties and here's this stranger pulling on the fat. I sheepishly asked him if I was a candidate and he said "of course you are". I was so excited I couldn't stop saying "thank you" over & over again. I'm planning to take at least a month off from work because I don't want to feel rushed into going back to work. I also don't want to ruin anything by pushing myself too much. Also my PS told me I couldn't drive for at least a month afterwards.

I'm going in on June 15, 2015. I seems like the day will never get come. I keep reading the posts here trying to figure out what I'll need to have on hand for afterwards. Today I bought a female urinal (so I won't have to take off my CG every time), a wedge pillow (for under my knees), back rest pillow (to sleep with), an inexpensive walker (hoping to use it to help me get out of bed & to walk around the house - even though some ladies said they didn't really use it), and an inexpensive bench for the shower. Most of this stuff was on sale online and I figure I might need these things in the future anyway. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Let us know how you're consultation goes on May 7th. Don't forget to ask if you'll need muscle repair in your stomach and if your PS will Lipo your mons area. These were suggestions made by other ladies and I've written myself a note to ask my PS about these when I see him for my pre-op appt at the end of May.

I was nervous but I wanted a ps who did tummy tuck all the time. I had to lose 30 lbs I was too heavy I was not upset he just wanted the best result possible I lost 32 lbs in 3 months I wanted to and was motivated because I did that I didn't need lipo I am very happy with my results , tomorrow is 4 weeks post op much better off work for at least 2 more weeks. I am a nurse in ciommunity so there is no modified work. Don't be insulted by a ps it's your money and you want to have best result. From your pictures you will be very very happy. Rent a power recliner that lifts you up to standing position. It saved me

I'm also 5'5 & 150 pounds. I'm having the mommy maker over with BH. I go in Thursday 12/3. He is doing muscle repair but no lipo. He didn't suggest for me to lose weight before surgery but only had 2 weeks notice because of a cancelation. Kinda glad, I have been too busy to talk myself out of it.

I've thought about a TT for years, never seriously until friends got breast augmentation and loved the ps and the results. Then it took me another while to make an appointment. That was last June, and he was great at explaining everything and made me feel totally comfortable. Then I started a new job and had to get settled in, but I'm now booked for March 29! I work in an office so they told me to be off two weeks, I'm planning to do half days from home after a week so I can be at home for almost three weeks and not leave too much for others to do.

Thanks I was so nervous. My hubby came with. We watched a video on a tummy tuck procedure. Dr. Came in and talked with us. Very open with everything. I thought he was awesome when he did my breast reduction in 2003 and he made me feel just as comfortable. With my small frame I carry everything in the stomach. I had two babies back to back 13 months apart. My abs are separated and I have the "apron". I found out today I am a good candidate and losing some more weight will help. Surgery scheduled 12/11/2015!!

I have my pre-op on December 1st. I make my final payment on the day after Thanksgiving. It seemed so long ago I had my consultation. Now it's getting within weeks. Will post some before pictures tonight. Nervous as I'm not at my ideal weight 5'5 and 158lbs. Very worried about the pain but keep telling myself if I can have two kids with no pain meds I can do this. Surgery is Dec 11th. I'm hoping I'm up and around enough by Christmas so I can enjoy it.

I am 5'3 153lbs at time of surgery most of my weight in stomach I have an excellent result I had muscle tightening and 2 hernia repairs The pain is difficult different from any other pain take your meds my parents gave us 12 weeks of weekly housekeeper as a gift and I only had simple meals. I bough 5 pairs of Hanes comfy track pant from Walmart 5 tanks 3 bucks Walmart and used hoodies and that's what I have worn for 4 weeks. I kept all my stuff in a cupboard within reach and my meds in a plastic bin and narcotics separate in a pencil case so don't get mixed up. Good luck you have no idea how wonderful it feel to pull up your pants and not hit the bulge first!!!! Best feeling ever
