I decided to do ZOOM! because my teeth were...
I decided to do ZOOM! because my teeth were horribly stained due to medications I was on as a child for a condition I had. That, coupled with not having gone to the dentist in over two years due to unemployment and lack of insurance really took a toll on my teeth and it had gotten to the point where I didn't even want photos taken of me anymore.
I read reviews of the procedure and did my research and frankly was quite scared because of all the reports of intense sensitivity and "Zingers" I decided to bite the bullet and do it anyway thinking that any side effects would only be temporary, and I am so glad I did.
I went in and Jeremy explained the entire procedure to me step by step. He was so kind and gentle. He answered every one of my questions and told me exactly what to expect. He First took impressions of my teeth for my custom trays, then did some "corona polishing" sp? on my teeth to try to remove as many stains before treatment as possible, as that would give me the most optimal results. He then put the isolated my teeth by packing my mouth with gauze and he applied this gel to my gums which quickly hardened with this blue light to protect them from the bleach and light. Once I was all prepped, he put the bleaching gel on, and hooked me up to the light, turned it on and let it work it's magic. He would come back about every 5 minutes to check on me and see how I was doing. I ended up going for all 4 of the 15 minute cycles. The light felt pretty warm and was a bit uncomfortable, but it was not in any way untollerable.
When it was all done he took everything out of my mouth, cleaned me off and showed me my results. and WOW!!!!!!! I could not believe my eyes! He got me 8 shades whiter! In fact, he got me one shade whiter than the lightest shade on their scale! He then gave me my after care instructions and kit which included my custom trays with a tube of desensitizing gel and a tube of bleaching gel for at home touch ups down the road.
I did have some strong sensitivity for the first day, and only a handful of mild "zingers" which went away in a split second. I had some 800mg Ibuprofen left over from some previous oral surgery that I took and that seemed to help with the discomfort.
After all was said and done I am so happy I did this for myself and would do it again in a heartbeat!!! I have not stopped smiling at myself in the mirror for the last 3 days! My boyfriend was even amazed at the results and absolutely loves them! I would highly recommend doing your research before getting this done and finding a Dr. who is experienced and can answer all your questions and concerns. After my experience, I have concluded that the people who have had horrible experiences with this most likely didn't do enough researh, or had a Dr. who did not properly perform the procedure, thus resulting in much more discomfort that there should be and not recieving optimal results.

The fact that he took so much care to ensure my comfort and that I get the best results possible was amazing to me and made me feel so much more relaxed and secure.
