It's officially the two-week post-op mark, and I feel great! The difference in how I felt from Monday to Friday of last week was pretty crazy, because I went from feeling "bleh" on Monday to feeling amazing by Friday. I actually felt up to going out and meeting up with some friends over the weekend, which was much-needed time out of the house.

I'm posting progress pictures from Day 8 up until today, which is Day 14. I've been doing my massages 4 times a day for a few minutes each time, and it's definitely making them softer and more natural-looking. I'm excited to see how they look at 3 weeks and then at a month post-op!

Your results look very good - really nicely settled. How are the massages working for you? Some ladies don't even do them. Find it strange that some PS are saying to do it multiple times a day and others do not recommend it.
When you have time can you post a video showing the softness/squishiness/bounce? Thanks. Good luck going forward. You have a great start.

Day 6

Slept through the night for the first time since surgery and got a solid 7 hours of good sleep. I still feel a tightness in my chest, but it's much better today than yesterday. I also was pretty backed up all week, and after giving up on stool softeners and apple juice, I finally gave Miralax a try yesterday, and it worked! I feel SO much better and way less bloated. I highly recommend that ladies give Miralax a try if you're experiencing any constipation from the pain meds.

I am super impressed with how my breasts are healing and settling, and I highly recommend Dr. Joseph Brian if you live in the Orlando area. He's amazing! I go back to work tomorrow, and I feel good about it. I'm ready to get out of this house and get some fresh air!!

I posted some photos of my Day 6 progress, as well as a "before" photo for comparison.

Congrats on your surgery! Glad to hear you're doing well. You look fantastic! If you don't mind me asking did you have your implants placed under or over the muscle? You mentioned you're athletic and often times athletic people go for overs, so just curious. I have "overs".

Also did you mean to say "Dr. Brian Joseph" and not the other way around? He does have one of those last names that also can be a first name. LOL. Btw, I think there's a way you can actually link his name to your journal if you want to (in the edit section at the top of your review). If not perhaps one of the hosts here may be able to help you. It would just be a matter of sending them an email.

I think having the surgeons name attached is helpful in bringing more feedback to the journal if that's what you want. His other patients as well as those that are considering his services will be able to find your review via the realself search. I have my surgeons name link to the top of my journal; and i've met at least a dozen or more of his patients that have chimed in to say say congrats and compare notes. I hope you continue to do well. And look forward to following your progress. :-)

Good catch, thank you! My brain has been a little frazzled lately, so I appreciate you correcting me on the name. Definitely want to make sure people know that it's the right surgeon, because he was great!

I don't mind you asking at all. I went under the muscle through crease incision. I wanted a very natural look and feel, so that was the choice Dr. Joseph and I thought would be best. Thanks for your feedback and advice, as always. :)

Thank you so much! I am very pleased with my results. I plan to update my review with progress pictures sometime this weekend, so stay tuned. :) And I am SO, SO glad I did it. I don't think you would regret it if you decided to go for it, too.

Day 5 Post-Op

So, I have boobs! It's been a bit of a rough recovery, but yesterday was definitely the turning point for me. I feel a lot better and am moving around much more easily now. I had my surgery on Tuesday, and will be returning to work in two days. I spent majority of the first few days on a recliner with an ice pack on my chest and a heating pad on my back watching an absurd amount of TV, but the time actually went by pretty quickly.

I took hydrocodone every 4 hours for the first two days (2 pills at night, to make sure I got some good sleep with no pain), and then Day 3 was every 5-6 hours, depending on how I felt. By staying on top of the pain meds, I think it helped me avoid a lot of the different aches and pains I've read about. There was a lot of soreness and tightness (and a feeling of "fullness"), but that was about it. Yesterday, I made the switch to Extra Strength Tylenol every 4 hours, and only had one instance where I felt a sharp pain in my left breast. So I doubled up and took another one, and the pain subsided pretty quickly after that. Today I've been doing one ES Tylenol every 5ish hours, and I'm feeling good.

I was allowed to shower on Day 2, and it was successful only because of my wonderful husband who helped me, but it felt SO good to get clean. I was able to shower by myself with no problems Day 3-5. I did make sure to get up and walk around a bit now and then Days 2-4, and today I've been the most mobile I've been yet.

I was nervous about the size, but my surgeon reassured me before the surgery that he looked over my wish pictures and agreed that 350 moderate profile silicone gel was probably the right choice for me. (I was all over the place with the size, but figured it would come down to the 325-375 range.) Anyway, I'm very happy with the results so far. Only some slight bruising, mostly at the incision area, which I'm perfectly OK with.

I'm attaching some progress photos, so hopefully it can help those of you with similar stats who are struggling with what size to choose. Yay, boobs! Can't wait for them to settle in. :)

Thank you! I had under-the-muscle crease incision with Mentor silicone gel 350 cc implants.
