I'm pressed for time right now, but I wanted to post something real quick because I have found this site to be SO extremely helpful. I am scheduled to get breast implants on July 18th, and I could not be more excited! I'm currently a 34B and my goal is to be a full C/small D.

I haven't found many women with similar stats to mine, so I feel obliged to document my journey on here in hopes that it will help others. All of the reviews that I've read have been incredibly informative and helpful, and if I had the time to personally thank every single contributor, I would.

Anyway, I'm posting some pre-op photos, and when I have some more time, I'll post another review about my consultation(s) experience along with some more photos (and wish pics). I recommend going to at least 3, which is what I did.

Hiya. I have very similar stats to you although just slightly taller 5ft10 1/2 and around the same weight. I had my BA last year and had 415cc under muscle - started off small 34b probably more an 34a and now I'm a 34D/DD. So not sure what your PS has said but I imagine you'll be looking at approx 325cc? Hope this helps x

Also from looking at your pre op pics you have more breast tissue than I did to start with so 325cc may even be too big? What did your PS say?

Hi bets2016! Thank you for commenting, because this is something I’m struggling with right now. My PS said that to get to my goal -- which, as it turns out, is more of a D than a C -- I’d be looking at around 400cc or even 425cc (because of my height and 13 BWD). But I’ve done the sizers in other consults (the PS I chose doesn’t do the sizers until the pre-op appt), and I don’t think I should go any bigger than 375cc … even that seemed a bit too big to me. I know that being taller affects the amount of ccs I’ll need, but because I do have a decent amount of breast tissue to start with, I really think 350cc would be the most I’d need. Do you have any before/after photos, by chance?

I'm afraid I don't have any but I def had smaller boobs to start with than you do...without a doubt.

Have you done lots of research on all the different postings on here etc about boob greed and size regret post op. My PS always said to me that if you are on the fence between two sizes you should go for the bigger one as after the op you will get usernames to having bigger boobs and wish you had even more!!

So if it's between 375 and 350 I would go the bigger. There will be hardly any diff between those sizes and atleast that means that if you do get "boob greed" you know you went for the bigger x

Thank you so much! I definitely have more research to do, but it's great to have such helpful feedback. I appreciate it! :)

Pre-Op Appointment

I realize that I haven't posted anything in over a month, but life got crazy and time has flown by. Anyway, I have decided on a surgeon (Dr. Brian Joseph in Winter Park, FL) and am scheduled for my surgery on TUESDAY. I had three different consultations, and of the three, I just felt the most comfortable with Dr. Joseph. He explained everything so thoroughly, and he was very personable. My husband went with me to all three consultations as well, and we both felt that was the clear choice.

I went to my pre-op appointment this morning, and I left feeling really great about everything. I met with Dr. Joseph’s nurse, Anita, who handles the entire pre-op appointment, and she was wonderful. She explained in detail what I can expect the day of surgery and afterward. She provided me with the prescriptions that I need to get filled and bring with me to the surgery, answered all of my questions and helped me figure out what size would get me to my ideal size (full C/small D).

I printed and brought my “wish pictures,” and she said that she would put them in my file, so that Dr. Joseph can use them to refer to while he’s in surgery. (Apparently, he takes them into the operating room with him and hangs them up, so he can see them while he’s testing out the different sizers.) Anita had me try on 250, 300 and 350 sizers, and she and I both agreed that the 350cc sizers looked best on me for what I have in mind. She reminded me that each person is different, and Dr. Joseph will “work his magic” and get me to my goal. If he thinks 325 or 375 looks best after testing out the different sizers, I trust him to make that judgment call. After all, he's the expert.

So, yeah. I'm getting boobs on Tuesday. And I am freaking STOKED about it. I've wanted to be bigger and more proportionate to the rest of my body for a long time, and it's pretty wonderful that I'm in the position to be able to do it now. :)

Wishing you the best! I'm assuming your PS is Brian Joseph M.D., Winter Park. If so I'm sure you'll be taken well care of by him. He has a great reputation and many good reviews!

Day 5 Post-Op

So, I have boobs! It's been a bit of a rough recovery, but yesterday was definitely the turning point for me. I feel a lot better and am moving around much more easily now. I had my surgery on Tuesday, and will be returning to work in two days. I spent majority of the first few days on a recliner with an ice pack on my chest and a heating pad on my back watching an absurd amount of TV, but the time actually went by pretty quickly.

I took hydrocodone every 4 hours for the first two days (2 pills at night, to make sure I got some good sleep with no pain), and then Day 3 was every 5-6 hours, depending on how I felt. By staying on top of the pain meds, I think it helped me avoid a lot of the different aches and pains I've read about. There was a lot of soreness and tightness (and a feeling of "fullness"), but that was about it. Yesterday, I made the switch to Extra Strength Tylenol every 4 hours, and only had one instance where I felt a sharp pain in my left breast. So I doubled up and took another one, and the pain subsided pretty quickly after that. Today I've been doing one ES Tylenol every 5ish hours, and I'm feeling good.

I was allowed to shower on Day 2, and it was successful only because of my wonderful husband who helped me, but it felt SO good to get clean. I was able to shower by myself with no problems Day 3-5. I did make sure to get up and walk around a bit now and then Days 2-4, and today I've been the most mobile I've been yet.

I was nervous about the size, but my surgeon reassured me before the surgery that he looked over my wish pictures and agreed that 350 moderate profile silicone gel was probably the right choice for me. (I was all over the place with the size, but figured it would come down to the 325-375 range.) Anyway, I'm very happy with the results so far. Only some slight bruising, mostly at the incision area, which I'm perfectly OK with.

I'm attaching some progress photos, so hopefully it can help those of you with similar stats who are struggling with what size to choose. Yay, boobs! Can't wait for them to settle in. :)
