How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I first tried to set up a consultation with Dr...
I first tried to set up a consultation with Dr Chan at the beginning of February 2015. I was told I would need a referral from my doctor. Since I do not have a family doctor, I just went to a walk-in clinic & they faxed my referral over. Near the end of Feb I got a letter in the mail stating that my appointment date was April 22nd, which seemed like quite a long wait so I called Dr Chan's office and they told me they'd call me if someone cancelled their appointment. Sure enough, I got a call back about a week later and was happy to hear that they could schedule me for March 8th. Yay!
Dr. Chan seems very nice and she did not rush the consultation. I wish that she could have provided me with some before/after photos of her past work, but she did not have anything like that available. She took pictures of my face, answered my questions, wrote a few notes about my expectations, and that concluded the consultation.
I was pleased to find out that Septumplasty is covered by Manitoba Healthcare, so I only need to pay out of pocket for the Rhinoplasty part which will cost $2000 (and she told me that is normally what she charges for this surgery.)
Filled out some paperwork with the receptionist & was given a pre-op form. I was told that the waiting time for the surgery would be 6-9 months from the date of the consultation and that they'd call me about a month in advance. The date of my surgery should be sometime between September and December 2015. I just had my pre-op examination done this month which involved a general checkup and a blood & urine test.
Looking forward to hearing back from Dr Chan's office in the next few months. :)
