When I was 19 I competed in Bikini Contests and Figure competitions, was also an exotic dancer. I went from at 34b to a 34c at age 19. After 2 years I was completely done with them! No complications but simply made my periods miserable, and running impossible 1 week a month. By the time I was 24 I was a 34DD. I became a fitness instructor and an avid runner, I also teach Pilates and Yoga. I noticed serious rippling on the sides of my breasts due to low body fat. It seemed like the bags were no longer full. I joined this site and thanks to the brave women who have shared their stories I booked a consultation and got them out as soon as I could! If I would have known it would be this easy I would have done this 10 years ago! I had a very thin and soft capsule... barely had a capsule at all. I did not need anesthesia or capsule removal... I was numbed and given valium. I felt no pain except for the numbing needle. When the first implant came out it was instant awesomeness. I was in and out of the office in 2 hours, my surgery only took 20 min.

Thanks for posting your story! It helped calm my nerves a little. lol I'm going in for removal on nov 22nd. Mine are saline and soft as well. I'm hoping very little capsule. I'm not going completely under so hoping it's fast and onto recovery. How are you feeling now? You look great! Thanks for sharing.

Oh my gosh I have no idea where to start! My follow up was yesterday and he said I can do whatever I want, yoga, lift, run... anything. I healed fast because health and wellness is my job basically. I took a hot vinyasa yoga class today and cried my eyes out... Everything I did that I've been doing every day for over 4 years was not only painless, IT WAS AMAZING! There was no longer a bag under my pectoral muscle... I jumped up to my hands from down dog and accidentally ended up in a handstand which I have been actively practicing for 2 years. I stayed up there for around 30 seconds and just had a moment, I only came down so I could curl into a ball and cry my eyes out. I have never balled my eyes out like this before... tears of joy. I felt the first implant come out and it was like the most comforting feeling in my pectoral muscle. I look like I just got done nursing but if I changed that much in a week then I'm very optimistic. I was prepared for the worst but I was looking forward to not having a reminder of my superficial 19yr old self! I have 10%body fat so I could pinch the bag and the skin..my PS said I had slim to no capsule at all. As soon as I found out what an easy case I was, I booked it 10 days later and 2 days after surgery I taught a 2 hour beginner yoga workshop. Didn't physically do much because I was scared but after today I'm POSITIVE that my body got an upgrade!

I found this site a month ago and started following stories, It's what motivated me to do it. Something had to be done and i was not interested in more implants.
I couldn't be happier. You have nothing to worry about, I didn't feel any pain... only from the numbing needle.

You look so comfy! Congratulations on your decision and your beautiful result. I have no doubt my yoga journey was a giant part of my real confidence and my motivator to explant. What a beautiful and liberating thing it is. If we can inspire others to know they too are enough - and perfect with their imperfections than the journey had been worth it, right? You rock sister! Hugs!

Yes! From superficial self harm to acceptance and self love. I did my first vinyasa class yesterday since surgery and I floated from down dog to handstand, I only came down to break out in tears... 20 something people were looking at me 2 tried to hug me then I said "I'm so sorry I'm just so happy" lol I was born in Pittsburgh btw, I live near Scranton. I think that's why my surgery was so cheap!

Neat! Well you did yours with local so that helps the cost - no surgical fees, anesthesia etc. It feels so good and the real look suits you so well. Yay!

You look great and very fit and younger without. I really like your look. Congrats!

Wow, your body type and story is somewhat similar to mine and I think we even had our explant surgeries one day apart! I too felt amazing very quickly and when I went for my first follow-up the Dr said I was free to exercise, swim, whatever. I didn't feel sick with the implants in but somehow I feel 1000 times healthier now without them. Congrats to you on your surgery and improved fitness, you look amazing! :)

WOW!! It's nice to hear that someone can relate to me!!! All I'm getting on this closed explant Facebook group is "no drains?,No anesthesia?, No capsulectomy"?.... I felt instantly awesome the second the first implant came out lol. It really feels like my body got Upgraded!

Exactly! I'm sure it's not everyone's preferred method, but having it done awake under a local and not having to deal with the effects of anesthesia was soo much nicer than when they were put in. I am also loving the little changes every day. :)

1 week anniversary of breast implant removal

Brendas10227
1 week after surgery I'm not only back teaching Pilates and yoga...I'm running, lifting and just feeling so awesome with nothing under my pectoral muscles. I expected the result to be much worse, I'm so happy with 1 weeks progress. The possibilities of things I'll be able to do know is so exciting!

SO HAPPY! One month and 4 days post explant

Brendas10227
I'm so happy with my results and I was totally willing to accept whatever I was left with... I knew it would take time for things to go back to normal. I can't imagine living and functioning with implants... I was so scared to accept my original chest, how immature was I when I got these bags put in!!! 19 years old life consisted of going to the club and wearing awesome outfits to dance all night in lol. Now I look back at my chest pre explant and it looks disgusting to me... my surgeon showed me my before pics at my post op last week and I was afraid I would miss them...instead I was just so glad they were gone!

Good for you! You are an inspiration! I am 34 and considering having my 11 yo saline implants removed since one just ruptured. It's a very difficult decision to make for me and I am struggling. I am happy to hear you are happy with your results! I hope I make the right choice and also feel the same. Thanks for sharing!
