I had gynocomastia surgery with lipo around the areola and glandular tissue removal. The incisions are in the armpit region. He is one of only three doctors in the world that do this type of surgery thru the armpit. If you want gynocomastia surgery, this is the best doctor to get that done by. I have had grade 1 gynocomastia since puberty, I am a 28 year old male, it was by far the best decision I have ever made. Over my 10+ years of having gynocomastia, I periodically consulted with a few physicians regarding gynocomastia surgery. The first doctor I consulted with was back in the late 90's to early 20th century when I was about 16 years old. He gave me the option of gynocomastia surgery but I declined the offer with the hopes of it going away. The doctor himself was hesitant about the surgery as well since Dr Wilcox's technique by going thru the armpit wasn't available at that time thus there would be bilateral incisions around the areola. My quote with that doctor was around $5000. Then, around 2010 when I knew it would not go away but also knew it wasn't that bad of a case of gynocomastia I consulted with another physician and he offered the same bilateral incisions under the areola with glaundular tissue removal and lipo around the areola with quote of around $3500. I almost accepted that offer but ultimately declined. Then, about 6 to 7 years later, I noticed Dr Wilcox offered gynocomastia surgery thru the armpits. I immediately knew he would be the best doctor to get this surgery done by. Yes it was expensive, around $5500, but from someone that suffered with grade 1 gynocomastia for about a decade, had trouble taking my shirt off in front of other people or wearing too tight of t shirts that show my puffy nipples, and had the extra cash set aside, it was a no brainer. However, no one is perfect, and you should not expect this surgery to make you so. You must be realistic as to how much of a difference this surgery will make compared to before results. I am now about 2 months post op, my chest is more defined, the incisions are healing well but still red which I am hoping will change to a color that more closely resembles my skin color to make them less noticeable (even though they are hard to see since they are under and near the armpit). My nipples are finally flat thank the lord for Dr wilcox for that however my left nipple is slightly more flatter, better looking, and with a very slight crease vs two slight creases with my right nipple which I was expecting since my gyno was slightly worse on the right chest than the left chest. Both of my nipples still have no sensation aka I cannot feel my nipples which was never an issue for me because I can care less about that. I hardly even realize it most of the time. So as I said, no one is perfect (such as myself even after having gyno surgery on grade 1 gyno) and you should not think you will be after having this surgery. If you have the extra cash to get it done, I would suggest to getting it done even if your gyno is a higher grade than mine. If people notice that you had gyno surgery aka you care about your overall general health and want to make your appearance better inside and out, that's a good thing bro. If anything, chicks will admire you more for getting it done because it shows you take initiative to get stuff done. Overall, he is the best doctor to get this done from, so whatever results you receive after the surgery just remember that no one else could have done better! I was pampered from start to finish (not to mention the nurse that took care of me is super hot bro). Call me maybe?
