I have battled my weight FOR EVAH! I am currently 145 pounds and am 5'3". I lost weight to go to Weight Watchers in 2001, my weight then was 197. Before that I avoided the scale! My children are 18 and 14 and I am going to be a grandma in November! So, I decided to go do something I have always wanted. I am scheduled for a breast augmentation, a tummy tuck and liposuction on the backside.

I am very nervous, excited and just plain ready to finally have a body that reflects all of my hard work!

Thank you! I am having a tummy tuck, liposuction, and breast augmentation. When I went in for the consult I was only curious about a tummy tuck, but after I saw my photos I decided to just do it all!

Feeling super anxious. I took some photos and I am trying to work up the courage to post them. It is hard to post photos of a body you have literally hated your whole life! My pre op is next week and Whitefish Surgery Center has been super! Can't wait for October 7th!

Thank you!!!! I am getting SO EXCITED! I had my pre-op appointment on Tuesday...I have taken my before photos so I have something to compare things to when I am done...this girl is ready!!!! Good luck to you, too
September 27, 2013
Thanks! Today starts our 10 day countdown! I haven't taken any before pics.....maybe I should! I swing between really excited to just plain scared to death! But I already paid for it, so there is no turning back now!!

That is EXACTLY how I feel! I totally forgot my pre op visit! Thankfully a friend was going with me and she texted me about what time we were leaving! Seriously, how could I forget something so important!!!!
September 28, 2013
I can't believe your doing all that surgery on the same day! I had my BA at the end of May. My PS said I had to wait at least 3 months between surgeries. You are one BRAVE girl!!
User Avatar
September 28, 2013
Well, economically, this is the only way I could do it! Thanks! How did your BA go????
September 28, 2013
It went really well. I mainly had the surgery because I had breast cancer last year and was getting reconstruction. So I figured, might as well get the breast of my dreams while I was at it!

I was having some weird dreams about this last night!
September 30, 2013
I slept pretty good last night! I think it will go downhill from here. What time is your surgery scheduled for?
User Avatar
September 30, 2013
I am scheduled for 9am. How about you? I am hoping I sleep better tonight! I have been able to keep my mind off of it pretty well, but now I am feeling a little anxious!
September 30, 2013
My surgery is scheduled for 6:30 am. I'm okay during the day...keeping busy...we live on a farm so there is always something to do. I was finishing up some canning today. Did laundry for one of my sons & fixed dinner. I'm unavailable for anything the entire month of October!! All I need to do to stay motivated is to look in a full length mirror (naked). Gets me back on track every time!! LOL Hang in there! (no pun intended!)

I have exactly one week to feel better and get back to work. I changed jobs after I scheduled this and I am lucky to get a week off! I am a little nervous about how I will feel. But, it's an office job, not to labor intensive!!!

How are you feeling?!? I am ok! I can't wait to see the results!
October 10, 2013
So glad to hear from you! Are you doing pretty good? I feel sore mainly. I took a shower today so I got to see the results....WOW....I look good!!! Well, minus the tubes and bruising of course! I was telling my husband in the recovery room, "I wonder how that lady that's getting all that work done is doing!" So very glad to hear from you!!

My breasts don't feel so bad, my tummy is killing me and I can't get comforyable. Tonight's been the roughest so far. :( I will survive! I also love my results!
October 12, 2013
How are you doing? I'm ok! I will be getting one tube out on Monday and probably the other one on Thursday. That will be nice. Hard to hide those things!!
User Avatar
October 12, 2013
I just have the one tube. As soon as it is consistently under 20cc they will remove it! Yippee! I had a slight emotional breakdown this morning, but I am doing better today. My lipo on my back is really bugging me, and oddly enough, my left shoulder hurts. Have youv peeked at your results???
October 12, 2013
Awww....why did you have an emotional breakdown?? You know you can't cry, laugh, cough or sneeze yet!!! Poor girl! I got upset today too. Took one of my closest "friends" 15 minutes of talking about her vacation before she even asked me how I was doing! Oh well! I wonder if your shoulder hurts because of them having to lug you around while you were out?! My lipo areas hurt too! Doc said to take off the binder a little each day to give me some relief. It does help! I have peeked......looks fabbo!!! Worth the pain!

My meltdown went a little like this "I don't ubderstand why I feel is ugly **sob sob**, I am not ugly!" My mom said it was just me getting tired if the pain. This binder is getting to me, I can't wait to get into spanks or something! And who knows about my surgery, feels awful though. Glad my boons don't hurt or I'd be freaking out! Glad you are doing great! Thanks so much for staying in touch with me!

Removed my drain today! I am so excited to get it out before returning to work tomorrow! How are you feeling!!!???
October 14, 2013
You lucky dog! I'm hoping to get mine out tomorrow. One of them is trying to come out anyway! I still can't believe you're going back to work tomorrow!! Let me know how you do....I'll be thinking about you!! I feel pretty good...don't have a whole lot of energy yet. Hey, have you weighed yourself yet? I did & I lost like 7 lbs so far! Pretty expensive weight loss, but I'll take it!! Be careful tomorrow!!
User Avatar
October 14, 2013
Nice! 7 pounds is great! Did you weigh with your binder on?!? I am scale phobic! I follow the 3 B's rule: Before Breakfast, after bathroom and bare butt before i step on the scale! Lol! I hopped on just now and I am down 2.5 pounds. Maybe some of the weight has moved to my chest! Haha! I am a little nervous about today since I haven't been able to go a whole day without napping. I am done by 4, I am sure I will go directly to bed! I am so glad to hear you are feeling better! Aren't we a couple of rock stars! How long your doc recommending you stay in your binder? My postop papers set 8 weeks! Good Gravy I will need to be admitted into a mental health unit after dealing with this thing for 8 weeks! You have a great day, I am going to start getting ready!

Run over twice and backed over 3 times! LOL
October 12, 2013
Have you taken the binder off at all? My Dr told me to once in awhile just for the relief. I didn't tell my Mom that I was having this done. My Dad just had hip replacement surgery & I didn't want to take any of the attention away from him.
User Avatar
October 15, 2013
I only take my binders off for showering. So, once a day and then I wash them at the same time. :) I was reading my postop instructions and it states to wear the for 6 weeks straight. So, 1 down 5 to go! I am hoping your dad is doing ok! So, yesterday work went pretty good. But I ate dinner and napped till 9, took a shower then went to bed! I was tuckered out, but I did it. I work in an all male office and they have been nothing short of amazing making sure I am feeling ok and being supportive! And it was nice to get off the couch! Give me an update! How are you doing?!? :) Have a great day!
October 15, 2013
I'm going to ask Thursday, when I get my final drain out, how long I have to stick with the binder. I agree with you about getting off the couch. I'm so bored!! I am so impressed with you going back to work! My hero!! Thanks for asking about my Dad....he's doing great!! How was day #2 at work??
User Avatar
October 16, 2013
Work is going great. I am finally sleeping better too. I think the swelling is going down a bit, or I would like to think it is! I feel like Houdini getting in and out of this binder! Let me know what your doctor says on Thursday! Glad to hear your dad is doing ok. When are you springing the news on them?!? Lol!
October 17, 2013
I won't be telling them about the surgery. They are not likely to understand or approve. I'll just spare myself!! I got this one piece camisole kind of a thing that is like Spanks...covers breasts and abdomen. I'm hoping to graduate to that instead of the binder. Something like that would probably work for you too. We'll see what the dr says tomorrow.

Dang flippin drain still in place!! Next appointment scheduled for Tuesday!
User Avatar
October 18, 2013
Oh no! I am so sorry! I go to my follow up tomorrow for the first time. My drain was ready to be removed on Sunday, my doctor is 2 hours away, but she walked me and my mom through removing it ourselves! It was kind of gross, but I was so glad to get it out. Hang in there!!!!!! How is everything other than the darn drain?
October 18, 2013
Everything else is fine. I was disappointed but not surprised he left it in. I'm still draining about 60 to 70 cc's a day. You removed it by yourself???? Is there no end to your bravery??? Geezaloo girl!!!
User Avatar
October 18, 2013
There is a fine line between being brave and being desperate!!! I think I am more desperate than brave! I wasn't draining any more, and it's a 4 hour round trip to my doctors office. When the doctor offered to walk me through it I said "my mom gives her self shots, she can do it", my mom said "I can't do it!!!", I said "You are doing it!". LOL! It was actually pretty funny!
October 19, 2013
I can't believe you were done draining so soon! Amazing! Ask your Mom if she would like to come to my house in Ohio and take out my drain for me!! HAHA! I'll bet that was quite the site!! How did your follow-up appointment go?
User Avatar
October 19, 2013
I think we could make the trip to Ohio! My follow up went ok. My belly button is a little re and angry and so they gave me some silvadine, hopefully that helps. My implants are settling at rapidly different rates so I am wrapped with a band over one breast and under the other (like a figure 8) and that's causing my left side to hurt pretty bad. I get to start massaging it on Monday. Hopefully they even out, the last thing I want is to be lopsided! I think I was just lucky on the draining! :) Happy Healing friend!
October 20, 2013
I was just looking at my belly button this morning. Mine looks good. When I had my implants done (May, 2013) I had to wear a band over both of them for quite awhile. Mine will always be slightly different...the right one got a round implant while the left side had a more oval one. I had breast cancer in the right side followed by 25 doses of radiation...that's why it's different. But hey...I got boobs!! You were very lucky on the drainage thing! I am very much looking forward to that last drain coming out!! Hopefully Tuesday.....fingers crossed!! I hope you rested a lot over the weekend. Another work week ahead! I don't know how you do it!! I'm fortunate to be retired and I feel like crap some days!!
October 22, 2013
Drain still in!! Next appointment is Thursday morning. Will it come out that day? Who the H knows??!! How are you doing??
User Avatar
October 22, 2013
Are you kidding me?!? Oh I am so so sorry!! :( Seriously, that sounds like torture! I am doing pretty good. My garment wasn't fitting correctly so I am in a new one that is not causing ripples on my left hip. My implants are dropping nicely, so I am happy with that. And my angry belly button has lost a lot of her redness. I wanted to say I am so sorry you had breast cancer, but congrats to you for being a survivor! You are a strong woman! Hang in there with that stupid drain! I will say a drain removal prayer for you! Haha!
October 22, 2013
There's a Drain Removal Prayer??? If only I had known!! lol As far as the breast cancer thing....it was found extremely early! But after a lumpectomy and an additional surgery to take more of the boundaries from the tumor sight, my right breast was just about flat! It's been about 18 months since all that happened. And I had reconstruction surgery in May of this year. It's great to be a survivor!! Good news about your belly button! Mine is sore, but that's probably normal. I sneezed this morning and thought it was going to rupture! Man did that hurt!!
October 25, 2013
Well, the prayer worked! The drain is out! I go back in a week for a checkup. How are you doing?? I haven't heard from you in awhile!

Hallelujah! Lol! So happy for you! I am doing ok, plugging along with the healing process. When did you get cleared for exercise? I think I am ready to start adding walking on the treadmill to my daily routine, just a slow pace though! How are you feeling?
October 26, 2013
I haven't asked about exercising yet. I see him again this coming Thursday, I'll ask. Before the surgery, I was walking around our lake. 3 times around is 1 mile! It's a little more interesting than the treadmill! (which I hate) I've graduated from a binder to a spanx kinda thing. Much more comfortable!! I've been feeling really really sore. I think maybe the nerves are finding their way back together or something. I felt the same way after my BA. Hurts just to touch. Have you felt that way too? This healing process is going to take awhile! How are things at work? Did I see that you are going to be a grandma soon? How exciting! I have 2 grandkids.
User Avatar
October 26, 2013
I don't miss my binder at all! I have this spanx thing that hits mid thigh and goes up to the bottom of my breasts. Yeah, I am sore. God forbid I laugh! Because it almost makes me want to cry!!!! Yep, my daughter is due Novemeber 3rd. She is dilated to a 1, so a little bit of progress! I am getting super excited to see my little grandbaby! I agree, walking around a lake does sound way better than the treadmill! I see my doctor next Friday, I will ask her as well. I am sure it depends on my healing progress. Just can't wait to not walk like a little old lady! I am still so happy I did it though!!!!
October 28, 2013
I have that Spanx thing too, but I don't like it as much as the camisole thing. Yes, laughing, sneezing, coughing hurt like nothing else! Can you believe that 3 weeks have gone by already? We survived!! Keep me posted on the arrival of the new baby!! Good luck to everyone!!

How are you doing? Yesterday I walked on my treadmill for about an hour...that felt good. But today I feel like my spirit is plummeting! I am tired of being bound from breast to knee! I just can't wait to wear normal clothes! No baby yet!!!!
November 1, 2013
Great to hear from you! I'm doing okay. I agree with you on being tired of the whole ordeal! I don't have to wear any compression garments after the 4 week mark. But, I think I will. It just feels better sometimes to have it on. The dr told me I could walk some but to take it easy. I am tired too of not being able to wear normal clothes! Can't wait for that baby!!!

4 weeks Post Op!! Congratulations to is! My doctor said two more weeks of my binder. Big sigh! I told her I was going to burn this thing when it's over! Haha! How are you feeling? I am so envious that you get out of your binder today!!!! But so happy for you too! How is your dad feeling? No baby yet, her due date was yesterday, my daughter was so sad that nothing happened! I hope you have a great day!!!!
November 5, 2013
I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already! Congratulations!! Don't tell your daughter, but my kids were all late....up to 16 days for the last 2. My Mom always said..."when the fruit is ripe, it will drop!" I was so sick of her saying that! She would take me to the mall and walk way ahead of me then turn around and laugh as I waddled to catch up! It's funny now!! Does your daughter know what she's having? I never knew ahead of time. It's one of the last real surprises left in the world. My parents are both doing well...thanks for asking! Do you think we're sore cuz the nerves are coming back to life? That's what it feels like to me. I wore my binder all day yesterday and I actually felt better with it on. Oh well.....here's to the next 4 weeks!!
