2 months post treatment and totally thrilled!

I have lived with this ridiculous condition for 30 years. Its hard to believe. I am a professional woman, and have spent thousands of dollars on ruined silk blouses, suits, you name it. When I saw MIraDry, I thought I'd see how it went and if others were happy. Had mine done yesterday and I am very hopeful.
My doctor and her staff were exceptional and my treatment was a little bit different from what was described on the site. I had the pre-consultation and asked all about the procedure, how many Miradry's they have done, success rates, etc. I think a lot of people here that may have had bad experiences may have been with practitioners who hadn't done many of these sessions. Mine had done well over 100 so I felt pretty confident going in. What I also liked is that BOTH my doctor and her practitioner had done the treatment THEMSELVES! This allowed them to tell you *exactly* what to expect and answer any questions. I felt so much better knowing this!
They ordered me a small pack of steroids to take the day of the procedure to help with swelling and also suggested the 800 mg of Tylenol. I did both before hand and had my procedure starting at 3pm.
Once in the office, we did the lidocaine shots first (and I hate needles, so I just didn't watch) - it took about 35 shots in each armpit, but you dont' feel it after awhile. The nurse tested my numbness all over by gently poking me to make sure I couldn't feel anything with the needle. In a couple places, I did feel it and they shot me extra lidocaine there. Then, they also inject my entire armpit area with saline solution. They said this moves the nerves out of the way so you don't get nerve damage at all. I was fine with that and couldn't feel the shots at all as my pits were numb by then. About 40 cc's in each arm pit and then I was ready.
My practitioner performed the Miradrying and I didn't feel anything at all - neither arm pit, no pain whatsoever. If you feel pain during the procedure, that is wrong - you really should not if the numbing is working properly. She did it on Level 5 and said they do all of them that way now, with the saline. Afterwards, she iced me immediately and told me to keep on icing, constantly for the next 24 hours. I did this (and am still doing it) with a combination of ice bags and frozen ice bottles. I worked at home today, and I just keep switching them in the fridge every time they warm up. It seems to be helping with the swelling (which I did have this AM, even with ice and meds). I think the swelling wasn't too bad - like maybe an inch near the bottom of my armpit area (nothing like a softball).
My armpits look like a train wreck right now, but there is no real pain at all. I just look pretty beat up - swollen, a small bit of bruising, but really nothing I hope won't heal in a week or two. Thus far - no sweat, probably because I've had Ice in my pits for 24 hours! I'll post back in a couple of days to see how it's progressing. I paid $1500 for the single session, and it will be another $1500 if I need the second one. They suggest it, but said I can see how it goes and come back in 3 months or later as needed. I am really hopeful that I only need one of these treatments. Time will tell, but I feel great to at least have started this procedure. Keeping fingers xed.
48 hours post-treatment
Thus far, zero sweat since the treatment. It feels great to be free of it - really hoping that it sticks and I can get away with one treatment, but will definitely return for the second if needed to make sure I stay sweat free permanently!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that this one treatment did the trick. Check in an let me know how you are doing.
10 days post treatment - feeling good!
The bruising under my arms has all but healed up (thank you Arnica gel for helping with that), so I look a lot better than I did a week ago. My underarms are still sensitive though and slightly swollen still along the bottom part of my pits. I am hoping that heals up pretty soon, but, it's not really bothering me all that much.
On the positive side - really no major sweating since the treatment. I did get a little 'damp' inside a hot plane the other day, but everyone was sweating and it was nothing like what I would have had before treatment. Didn't really even wet my shirt at all. Perfectly normal, i would say.
The best news is that I was feeling so great over the weekend, I went out and bought a light lilac-colored linen blouse! That would have been unthinkable to me even 11 days ago. The freedom this treatment provides is amazing. Life changing. I want to wait a few more weeks to make sure sweat does not return, but right now, I am one happy camper.
